and hell, repeealing it still wouldnt make it a just system. You'd go from one gender having slightly more requirements than the other, to the other gender not being able to vote on who represents and governs them at all. I mean the actual thing to do would be to remove requiring selective service...

    something something taxation without representation.

Its a mis-print. We're trying to repeal the 21st amendment, and rid America once again of the demon liquor.

I'm good with this, we can fuel the war on drugs by making even more drugs illegal! I swear I have no alternative motive here and I definitely don't live in "we make our own alcohol out back" country that could make a lot of money if it was illegal. Don't look at me, think of the children.

And not that I buy this line of argument at all, but the Senate passed legislation to apply Selective Service to women a few months back (I assume it's still going through the House):

I'm sure all this talk about repealing the 19th amendment is not misogynistic at all but really just about preserving ethics in gaming journalism.

As far as conscription goes, some countries do have mandatory military service for women, but I get the feeling that if that were introduced here you would see the same exact people bitching about it would undermine morale.

They trust the ones that tell them what they want to hear, which is breitbart and Hannity at this point.

And this is why he's losing. Well, part of it.

Donald Trump’s campaign has spent more on hats than on polling

That's what you get with telling everyone they are a special snowflake. They will always be right, so the only truth is what they agree with. Even if that only leaves Trump...

Trump is the safe space candidate... be it in a locker room or the back of a bus with Billy Bush... safe space...

Earlier today, I said Trump had 100 lawsuits against him. Turns out, it's only 75.

In addition, Trump at a rally said Clinton would cut both Social Security and Medicare.
    a) Clinton has made no such statement. She has made a statement that she will not cut Social Security. The fact that she wants to expand the ACA strongly implies she won't cut Medicare, but there's been no direct statement that she will.
    b) Trump has promised to cut both. It's part of his "penny plan" in which he takes 1% off everything every year.

Well, not everything. He'd leave defense/military spending intact. Which is 20% or so.

And he's still building the wall.

And hiring more border guards. And adding more background checks to immigrants. So, basically, anything immigration related goes up too.

And he says he wants to spend double what Clinton wants to spend on infrastructure.

All without borrowing more money because suddenly everyone would have high-paying jobs and trade deals would fall into our lap. That's how it works. I'm serious. Listen to him and his surrogates defend it. Because if not, his gutting of federal income tax will end up costing trillions of dollars.

Anyhow back on point: once again, Trump directly accuses someone else of doing what he is proven to do. Only in this case, it's not that Trump is worse. It's that he's the ONLY one who promised to cut SS, and Medicare.

And of course, Trump's claim that the emails show Podesta rigging the pols is, big surprise, Pants on Fire.

    Our ruling

Trump said, "Wikileaks also shows how John Podesta rigged the polls by oversampling Democrats, a voter suppression technique."

A leaked email shows the Clinton campaign of 2008 consulted data firm that suggest oversampling in what is likely internal polling. The term refers to a common technique used by pollsters to analyze demographics groups more precisely than possible in a random sample.

We rate Trump’s claim Pants on Fire.

And finally, it's Megyn Kelly vs. New Gingrich. It does not go well for Gingrich.

I wonder if Bill was dead or if Hillary divorced him if Trump's team would still defend Trump's bad behavior by pointing to Bill Clinton.

    They'd claim she murdered him.
"In today’s America, conservatives who actually want to conserve are as rare as liberals who actually want to liberate. The once-significant language of an earlier era has had the meaning sucked right out of it, the better to serve as camouflage for a kleptocratic feeding frenzy in which both establishment parties participate with equal abandon" (Taking a break from the criminal, incompetent liars at the NSA, to bring you the above political observation, from The Archdruid Report.)

In 2009, Kelly Preston lost her 16 year old son, Jeff, to a sudden seizure most likely related to autism. A few days later, Trump wrote a condolence note on his "university" blog.

In this note, he wrote the following:

"A long time ago, before I was married, I met Kelly Preston at a club and worked like hell to try and pick her up. She was beautiful, personable, and definitely had allure. At the time I had no idea she was married to John Travolta. In any event, my track record on this subject has always been outstanding, but Kelly wouldn't give me the time of day. She was very nice, very elegant, but I didn't have a chance with her, and that was that."

The "university" is closed, but the web never forgets.

You ask if Trump would attack dead Bill Clinton for infidelity? I bring you Trump reminiscing, during a condolence letter for a son's death, about hitting on the married mother.

    IN PUBLIC.

Hell yes he would still do it.

This is why you don't want a profit oriented business person to be President of the United States.

I am sure all he can see is hat = profit and poll = loss.

That pretty much encapsulates it. I wish that could make me angry, but it just makes me sad.

Edit, actually it does make me angry. What a fucker.
