i love the play style and asthetic of the dk just dont want to be bottom dps, although id be fine being mid of the pack

No one knows with absolute certainty yet, but we can surmise that we will not be top-tier, big-d, whatever the kids are calling it now, dps. Frost will undoubtedly be stronger than it was, and unholy will be slightly more so. For those not looking for the math behind the classes, Unholy and Frost will be the closest to each other since the beginning of the xpac, strong at lower gear levels, and mid-pack at 870+. That's fair to say right?

I'm like you, I want the numbers to show me what the real story is during a mythic raid situation. That's something I'm chomping at the bit for!

Well, my experience last night was interesting. With lower ilvl weapon/poo relics, I beat my UH parses handily in each fight (Heroic). We finished with M Nythendra and I did over 300k there as well. I played RA/GA the whole night. Can definitely do better with IT uptime and Frozen Pulse uptime. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I should preface that I did not have bracers as Unholy, so that's my basis of comparison. Rankings as UH were in the upper 90's, consistently. Will be examining logs today.

If you aren't in a top 200 guild, play what ever you want. The extra dps from playing UH won't magically fix the problems your guild have with killing content a month old.

All in all I can definitely feel the buffs, and I was in the top 2 pretty much every fight.

I think it's definitely competitive now.

Yeah I believe that Frost should be stronger now. They got quite a nice buff that was definitely needed.

Based on my understanding of the metrics and my heroic clear tonight (93% unholy/ 97% frost average parse).

Unholy Bracers > All. If you have the bracers unholy wins 100% of the time
Unholy for single target and MUrsoc.
Frost for sustained cleave.

Edit; My concern now is scaling and encounter design. Given my frost artefact is significantly behind both in ilvl and ap so it has far more growth in it then my unholy one the vast majority of NH encounters are sustained cleave looks to me unless unholy gets big buffs in 7.2 it's going to be dead in the water compared to frost.

Really depends how far apart they are. If they're within 5%, most people will play what they personally prefer/enjoy. Over 10% and people will switch. And complain about it.

Frost buffs have been great. Im at 867 ilvl and doing a solid 300k dps on most fights on heroic en. Sometimes higher if theres cleave or adds i can sindy, sonetimes a little lower if mechanics fuck me. Not the highest but at least middle of the pack. Plus the playstyle is more fun and slightly less intense than MG so i can focus on the raid more
