The problem is, again, there is a non insignificant part of the Trump base who do believe that.

Trump had two major camps. You had the working class whites that lost their manufacturing jobs that many in rural America and the rust belt depended on, who were largely fence voters through most of the election and swung to Trump when it counted, and the "make America white again" crowd.

Most people at least understand the first crowd or can see why they went the way they did. They were a toss up and losing their vote is what's sparking a possible huge rebuild of the Democratic party.

He's the head of Breitbart and basically the alt right messiah. If Trump puts him in a cabinet position, then no can deny the racism.

The Dems lost because they didn't vote. You guys had less people vote for Trump then voted for Romney or McCain.

This wasn't a revolution, it was apathy.

Trump won with fewer votes than romney lost with. The Dems stayed home. The millenials stayed home. It was the wrong choice and the dems picked the wrong candidate.

At Donald's election night party the crowds chanted 2 things, "Lock her up!" And "Drain the swamp!" Both of which were campaign promises.
Now the Trump people are saying they are not going to pursue Clinton.
The lobbyists are showing up for dinner, special interests are enjoying the wine and old boy Washington insiders are getting choice seats at the table.
This is hilarious as Trump has no intentions of draining the swamp he is just changing out the alligators for crocodiles and rubes actually believed him!

Virtually every incumbent in the house and senate was reelected. Youd think if they were so anti establishment wed see some change in that. Nope.

Speaking of deplorables, Trump's already considering such people for his Cabinet positions as:

- Sarah Palin as the S'ecy of Interior. What a disaster for the environment that would be.

- Rudy Giuliani, who I’ve long regarded as one of the most authoritarian and borderline fascist mainstream figures in American political life, to be the attorney general in charge of the prosecutorial power and the FBI.

- Chris Christie, whose two top aides were just found guilty on all criminal counts around the Bridgegate scandal, in charge of the mechanisms of homeland security.

- John Bolton, one of the most sociopathic warmongers on the planet, in charge of anything.

- Jeff Sessions, hard right wingnut Alabama senator.

- Newt Gingrich for S'ecy of State.


...these are genuinely terrifying prospects.

Sounds good to me, put all the deplorables in one place.

Now let's see them deliver on their campaign promises. First up: term limits for Congress.
