Both Expansions were released today, on November 13th. Wrath in 2008 and Warlords in 2014
Do you have any fond memories in either of these expansions?

Wrath was when I learned to tank and never looked back. Rolled a DK and leveled it from 1 to 80 in two days.
Raider perspective here:
Malygos is one of my favorite encounters of all time. WotLK in general serves some of my fondest memories of WoW. Ulduar was amazing, ICC was a blast; I started playing WoW in TBC but WotLK really helped solidify WoW as one of my favorite games of all time.
As for WoD... well, WoD isn't exactly remembered fondly by many but I really enjoyed it. Highmaul was a fun, interesting entry level raid. BRF had some of the most challenging encounters Blizzard had ever designed. And HFC was a lot of fun at first though I feel like the overall feel of the dungeon was ruined by the length of time it was relevant and the nature of the stupid Legendary ring. That said, I'll remember Mythic Archimonde as one of the most enjoyable raid encounters of all time.
wrath is when i learned that druids are the best healers in the world
wod is when i learned that gold is the only thing in the world (of warcraft) that is never going to betray you
even though i started in bc, wrath was when i had my most memorable moments. it'll always be my favorite time in the game, because of all of that.
it was a hell of a time. had some better systems in the game back then, too. badge gear was such a better system than what we have now, and nothing will EVER convince me otherwise. the dungeons were tuned in a way that was more fun to me.
there's parts of WoD that i loved too. the professions were so much better, because of being able to gather so much shit in your garrison. the garrison was a fuckload better than the order hall, because it was a personal instance i didn't have to be around other people in.
i hate so much though how the gathering professions were redone in legion, it's god awful. go back to the simple shit like in WoD.
Didn't WoD come out in 2014?
Started in TBC but wrath has many a fond memory. One of the highlights was on 25 man LK progression and one of our healers pulled a Forest Gump. Dude just kept on running, never stopped and then fell to his death afterwards going " WTF is wrong with me ".
Yep. 2 years ago!
Wrath had a lot of fond, but noobish memories for me. I started the week of Burning Crusade's release, and the game was completely fresh and exciting, but huge! I was seriously casual up until the release of Ulduar, I think I finally hit max level around the release of that raid. It was the first raid I've ever been inside! I still recall healing as a holy priest with my + hit dagger and thought raiding would be a scary task. My guildmates carried me through, getting me all sorts of high gear. It was then I started hitting the guides and reading up on WoW mechanics and lore and I was hooked.
WoD was a major letdown from MoP. Probably the first time I let my subscription die since Wrath (since post Cata I have the Tyrael's Charger promotion if I kept an active sub and post SoO I was going for 'The Beloved' title and had too little time to complete it)
Warlords did a lot of things well. Gameplay for most classes was at the peak. Unfortunately HFC was a really terrible raid, and there was not as much outdoor activities.
Bought Wraith when it first came out... waited in the Future Shop parking lot with the rest of the nerds for midnight opening... Played it to 3AM before getting some sleep before work. I got my Warlock to 71 before deciding that I was going to try a new class. Started a DK and was like... "holy shit, I can solo group quests with ease!!".
WotlK was what legion is now: Good stuff but the first huge drop since vanilla release, why? Who knows.
In Wrath, tons.
In WoD, hitting that unsub button about 2 months in. Worst expansion ever.
wow the best and worst expac released on the same date, how odd
