You are actually the first one to mention changes to TB here, so it's understandable that people haven't picked up on this yet.
After all, both changes to RtB(TB) and to Blunderbuss are not part of the patch notes.

PTR changes are nothing final to rely on. These might just be PTR changes to see what numbers come out in practical combat, before actual changes and intended shifts are made or finalized.

There is no official patch note.
    Just partial datamining.

Most of them are on wowhead but under uncategorized spells category. You can check simc spell data fetch tho.

Before the crit part of BtE was in an hidden "Outlaw Rogue" passive spell.
Now it's baked in the Rank 2 system (introduced in 7.1).

The blunderbuss change in and of itself is like a flat ~4% total damage increase, if you dont have the leg bracers, right?

Seems like a pretty nice buff

is blunderbuss buffed so hard that we are gaining ~3-4% damage increase?

Should consider to spend 2 traits more for blunderbuss ^^

For sub, I don't think anything changes talent wise, really. I mean you have to wait an extra second and pool to 70-75 energy. Shadow focus looks interesting making shadowstrike cost 10 energy, but gonna be real hard to overtake subterfuge extending shadow dance. I THINK the boots are still good, but too tired to crunch numbers right now.

And if those shoulders work with shadow dance(which they should), pretty sure they become the new hotness.

5% less crit is huge , small rupture damage nerf , deeper stratgem nerf, where are the buffs to assa damage any one is speaking about to compensate these nerfs?

Imho this is a STRONG nerf , if they atleast wouldve buff assas AoE it wouldve been okay... but Assas main concern is doing great ST , it isnt anymore.

Cheat death nerf is deserved but.... from 2 minutes knee nerfed to 6minutes? 4 minutes wouldve been okay...

6 min cheat death makes sense if it was going baseline but as a talent that's just horrible.

It seemed like blunderbuss got like a total 100% more damage to it, so its a pretty significant damage boost.

SF is still 25% as Sub. (Sadly)
    Boots are still the bests.

Rupture is a buff in fact.

So im Assassination, and I was doing mog for swords, switched specialization and well I got [Greenskin's Waterlogged Wristcuffs]... Okay first leg on the rogue and its not for my spec. I have zero AP in outlaw and avoided it like the plague due to the forums saying how bad it is. With up coming buff to [Greenskin's Waterlogged Wristcuffs] and outlaw changes, any reason I should level up my AP in outlaw Artifact? Or better off keeping leg for ilvl and staying sin.

Im 862 114% mastery 30% crit 14% haste 23000 Agility [Memento of Angerboda] [Spontaneous Appendages] for trinkets

No harm in investing AP into other weapons with the AK we're at now.

Also - Set your loot specialisation in the future.

Rupture itself wasn't nerfed, it was normalised, which means it does the same damage per tick, just the duration is shorter now. You want a long rupture though so 1) you spend less energy per cast because the cost is constant 2) you can spend the time and energy on keeping SoT & EP up (+ envenom during kingsbane) 3) you get the most out of the nightstalker talent since it snapshots the damage 4) other small things in the obvious category. However since EP and DS will likely get nerfed, this might change a lot.

So the patch notes on WoW Head are correct?

-Damage Increase for: Ghostly Strike, Saber Slash, and Pistol Shot ??

That was already increased some time ago (and is on live). Just tooltip correction on PTR.

Duration is the same as before. Just linear damage increase with every CP spent. And overall more dmg then before.

What I would like to know is how exactly do greenskins bracers work in ptr. Do they still affect blunderbuss? I mean it sounds like a nerf it only affects pistol shot every 20 sec. If they affect blunderbuss also its gonna hit really har every 20 sec and feel really good. Since now you can get the bracers proc a lot with true bearing, i feel something is needed to compensate. Its gonna be really boring if its only 1 pistol shot every 20 sec compared to what it is now

Will we be using vigor instead of DP as Sin come 7.1.5?

  18. #218
I really, really dont understand the reasonning behind sub nerf. We have energy problem so the legendarys boots are mandatory (ok for this one), so now lets nerf the legendary & all the talents for energy ? :|
And i dont understand the pve nerf in between the eyes. Why not nerf it only in pvp (again, its not like i was seeying so much outlaw rogue in rbg for a starter... ) ?

I agree. It feels weird that the less powerful and less dynamic ability of the two is a TALENT rather than the baseline ability.

Either SnD should be baseline with a RTB talent imo, OR SnD should be either buffed to be more powerful than RTB (not sure if the buffs on the ptr data could do this or not, not an expert on combat but guessing no), OR they should replace SND with a talent that improves SND to, let's say, make sure you always get at least 2 buffs or something that tatkes care of bad rng on it.

That said I play sin and an prepping myself for sub once I get better gear, so I don't really have a stake in it, but the current RTB and SND setup just feels like backwards design.
