Looking into building a new computer. Had my old one for about 5 years and thinking it's time to upgrade. Basically need everything except for mouse, keyboard, monitor, SSD, Hard Drive. Thank you for any of the help.

out of curiosity, what is your current pc? a 2nd gen i5 is still a mighty fine cpu!
This would be my rough justice version which can further be refined if you're looking to replace the meat and potatoes.

The reason I would use those fans is due to their higher static pressure which'll help pull or push through the radiator and push out through your exhaust grill but aren't the most quiet around. I'm also a MSI whore. You can get an OEM Windows 7/8/10 key for $25 and who needs an optical drive unless you want to go USB.
Way overkill for 1080p especially if you're bound to 60hz but for $1500 you can not go overkill.

A soldier will fight long and hard for a bit of colored ribbon.
Thanks for your help. I'm a little more lenient on the video card. What would be a better option?
Budget 1500-WHAT?
Euro? Pound? Dollar? US dollar? Australian dollar? Canadian dollar?
Jeez man, if you want help then make sure to provide enough information. There's a big difference in what you get get for $1500 and £1500.
You didn't even bother to put country in your profile.

I'd only opt for a GTX 1080 if you plan on a higher resolution or some 144Hz+ monitor for your FPS games.
