This may come across as a whining post, but I want to get this off my chest and see if anybody else out there has some of the same issues/concerns.

I believe that Legion started out with some amazing potential but has fallen flat due to one gigantic flaw, the raid boss that has persisted through all expansions of WoW, but has only come to be such an enormous pain this expansion, RNG.

I just told a friend the other day, even if I got my 2 BiS legendaries today, I would still hate this expansion because I would know that there are still numerous people out there that still don't have theirs.

Does anybody else feel that lack of interest, in what could have been a truly great expansion, due to the ridiculous rng factor?

Just be patient, you will get one, I am honestly enjoying this game a lot. Not because I have 2 legendaries on my alt and none on my main, but I have fun playing it. Honestly the whole legendary complain is ridiculous. Its not going to suddenly turn you into a god (unless you are a rogue and you get pants, then you are a world pvp god).

Just chillax and play the game. Don't stress out because most people haven't gotten a super rare item in the first 3 months.

I don't think people complain too much about RNG as a feature but more the extnt in which it's used. Personally i feel RNG should be limited to dungeon / raid rewards

You do realize for most classes there is a certain legendary that can mean a 60-100%+ damage increase right? That's a huge deal when your favorite part of the game is raiding and trying to rank in dps. It's not ridiculous to feel like you should at least be close to being on a level playing field from a gear standpoint. It would be different if it were just an ilvl difference between other players, but it's not.

I've played since Vanilla, so I know how much rng has been used throughout the life of this game. The truth is, they've utilized it more this expansion than ever before and that's why there is a problem and it is in fact something that should be complained about. This game became homogenized when they released LFR back in Cataclysm, still not dead yet. The fact of the matter is that you shouldn't gate something that is so important to any classes dps behind rng that is so wildly unbalanced like they have with these legendaries. If you're going to have to farm for something like this, it should be visibly attainable through a currency system or something like it.

WoD was already World of Casinocraft tbh, it's just you didn't have so much depending on so low-chance a roll.

I got a legendary yesterday on an alt with 9 hours 33 minutes played at lvl 110. Hope that helps.

This could have been a good expansion, until the dev team went and ruined it. RNG and their ridiculous loot system are the major culprits.

I would rank it dead last on my personal xpac ranking list and would bet good money it ends with less subscribers than end of WOD.

No. On my second Emissary Chest on my alt, I got my first Legion Legendary. It wasn't the best for my spec but it certainly wasn't the worst either.

I played 2 weeks total game time before a legendary dropped for my main and it turned out to be BiS for my main spec. The wait was definitely worth it!

Fun is where you find it in this expansion. My Wife and I met up with some old friends recently and started raiding as well as running Mythic dungeons together. Even after three months, I honestly have not had this much fun since WoTLK.

Legion is probably the second best expansion for me so far. However, I'm letting my sub expire because I'm getting burned out of the gear grind. I've seen most of the content and enjoyed all of it very much.

If alts were easier to play and rep was account wide (seriously, it needs to happen) then I wouldn't let my sub expire.

This is definetly one of the better expansions to come out recently. Light years ahead of wod and more variety than mists. The only stupid decision is how dumb they are regarding rng. Put the gear on a vendor for a currency and youd settle almost every complaint (save for flying which is another can of stupid on their part)

Love Legion so far.
Biggest minus for me is garbage RNG and class streamline. Outside of that there is some real gems in this expansion.

I have already quit. The class balance issues , the ridiculous RNG on top of RNg, piss poor professions just drove me away and killed the fun. It had tons of potential but because of stupid ass design problems and Devs who dont give a shit any more...
I came back because i was excited to play a DH. Was waiting for them for a long time. Except in order to be competitive, i was forced into a spec that was not fun to play and annoying as hell. Demon hunters will end up one of the east played classes if they dont fix them. The RNG on everything was just way too damn much. There is no goal to work towards, just endless running of dungeons on different difficulties. Even the damn story does not maes sense as you have to kill certain bosses for Professions, then go back and kill them again later on for class hall and for your artifact. Its after doing that you realize how little content there really is. The WQ were fun for a bit until the repetition set in fast.
The time gating on everything was another nail in the coffin along with how unfriendly to alts this expansion is. I decided i wont come back to WOW until they get a entire new Dev team who actually has a passion for the game, and not just rehashing boring failed Diablo 3 mechanics.
