Enhancement trinket help

Hi guys,

I could appreciate a little help deciding which trinket to use.
At the moment I have Bloodthursty instinct (880) so thats one.
For the second slot I'm using Chrono Shard (665), but last night I got a lucky drop and received Swarming Plaguehive (880).

AMR suggest to use the Chrono shard and it is way ahead of Plaguehive. On the other hand the simcraft shows the plaguehive ahead by a small margin (~1000 dps). The problem is that I cannot login at the moment in order to swich gear, so when I import my char from the armory in order to simulate the plaguehive I'm changing the following entry:

trinket1=chrono_shard,id=137419,bonus_id=3415/1517/3336

to

trinket1=Swarming_Plaguehive,id=139321,bonus_id=1806

Is that correct (the bonus id part)?
Which trinket do you think i should use?

When you say "AMR suggests to use Chrono Shard".. is that via the AMR sim or just what AMR is saying on BiS/BiB? Trinkets aren't very accurate in the best-in-bag/slot feature. Always sim it.

I used best-in-bag/slot feature.
However when i run AMR simulation the result is 417k dps vs. 413k dps in favor of Chrono Shard...

@Soisoisoi Our gear pages actually rank all items with procs directly from simulations. This is a change we made when legion launched, so an improvement over WoD - check it out.

That said, you'll want to generate your own stat weights, which ALSO include simulations for every item with a proc, specific to your setup. Then when you use those weights, all of the proc information gets bundled with it so everything is ranked from simulations. It's the most accurate way to get a list

I assumed as such, however the trinket lists don't always match the actual rankings from simulations; Sub Rogue for example, always puts Chrono Shard ahead with my BiB - yet Tirathion's is actually better in my case from simming with AMR. I just do that to be sure.

@Soisoisoi - is that with custom weights for you, or the default? Remember the defaults, just like weights from guides, are for only 1 talent and artifact progress setup, etc.

If you give me your character name and realm I can run custom weights and do some double checking just to make sure it's right (or find a bug if that's the case).

Re: trinkets in general: remember trinkets interact with a lot of things, other legendaries, your total stats, etc. Static lists are a great place to start, but aren't custom to your character.

It was custom weights gained from AMR for my talent setup. Not done it recently though since I've not been playing much. Lassitude of Silvermoon EU if you were still interested.

This was very useful. It also confirms simcraft results that the Plaguehive is a little bit ahead at these item lvl's.

BiB is suggesting Chrono, like you said. However, when I ran the simulations, Chrono comes out ahead so it looks correct. One thing I wonder, perhaps you had a higher margin of error when doing your sim so they might have flip flopped?

Strange, it even puts Crit ahead of Mastery on that one - I did it earlier and it was Versa>Mastery>Crit. I left the error at 0.05%, guess I'll change that in future.

As for the trinkets, does it make a difference in the batch trinket simulations? I just went and found the report in my history, it's obviously going to be out of date now, but for reference anyway:

Sorry, sort of hi-jacked that I guess. Have you tried simming for multi-target/movement etc to see what comes up best for more realistic fights other than Ursoc?
