Classic case of Ursoc Progression and low dps, I'm posting on behalf of my guildies to get some logs analysis by people who know what's going on with their spec. Lysithea is a pretty good player and very competitive, so any and all feedback to improve will be appreciated. I apologise for not being able to guide you towards an specific issue, like requested in the thread's front page, but I don't play DH myself so I have absolutely no clue where he's going wrong.

Mediocre momentum uptime (average around 55%), most top logs have around 65%
Too many annhialation casts outside of momentum, momentum Should be up for most of meta
Too many other casts outside of momentum, glaive toss Should never be used outside momentum

Basicly, he needs to manage momentum better and die less to charge ^^

Hi, wondering if i can get a bit of help.

2 things really,

1, i know im doing "something" wrong. I`m sure i can improve my momentum play regarding spending pain properly and storing more before momo. But i`d like to know more accurately where i`m going wrong.

2, after comparing my logs with a few other dh logs i found, it seems my chaos strikes/annihilation do significantly less damage than the other guy. Other damage outputs seem comparable, but specifiaclly chaos strike/Anni. I would put it down to doing too many out side of momo, but from looking at logs, i do much fewer casts of CS , because i wait too long for momo windows (another area i need to improve) . These are against similar geared dh`s, so its not a simple case of gear.

Oh, another thing i forgot, the logs i checked against, both had anger ring(ofc, everyone else seems to have it :/ ) but that should only increase amounts of CS cast, not the damage they do.

Thanks for the help, we ended up killing it last night with all our best dps there unlike last time. The DH improved a lot, went from 41% for ilvl to 75% for ilvl. Momentum uptime still a bit low, and still too many Glaves outside of momentum, but eyebeam helped a lot, and nearly all his annhialation casts were during momentum this time.

Forget Nythendra here, I died here due my own error and fel rushing right into two exploding worms. I wanna really perform better but I cant break on most fights 80%.

Im simming my character and Im using my own stat weights but I feel I ended up with not balanced stats, 45% crit, only 7% haste, 21% mastery and 3% vers. The problem is even when something drop with crit/haste its still not enough good to replace my current gear. Sometimes I feel I dont have enough fury for momentum window. I dont have the ring also. Im prepoting (unless some ninja pull) and in most fights Im using prolonged power for prepot and later old war with bl (unless bl is at start).

Any advice?

Tby is my friend and i want him to be good, but he is not performing well, at first i thought it might be his artifact weapon but its been consistently bad for a few weeks now and its time to fix what he is doing wrong.

I need someone with a bit more experience to take a look at my logs, on some fights I manage to get up to 70-80% of my ilvl but mostly it's around 50%

What can I do to consistently be above 85? (I realize this takes more than a few pointers but I just need a place to start really)

I feel like I'm underperforming for my ilvl on Single-Target Bosses. I mainly do Mythic+ but sometimes if I feel like doing a raid I try to join a pug group. I think I'm using my Momentum Buff wrong or at least I'm not using it 100% like I loose lots of damage because I jump to far away from the Boss.

Hey guys,
I need a 7/7Mythic or Top Mythic parsing Demon Hunter to review my logs and tell me where I can improve. My I lvl is 880, and although my DPS isn't bad, and I don't have the belt or the ring, I feel like i could be pumping out significantly more DPS. My guess is this has to do with my opener, Momentum uptime, or perhaps bloodlet uptime? I'm often feeling fury starved.

Well, Not sure anyone looks at this sticky anymore or not, but I could use some help. My numbers aren't horrible, but I can't figure out how to get to the "next step" on Warcraft logs, my DPS compared to my iLvl is apparently crap. Momentum is in the 60's, not very much casting outside of windows, etc. but I'm still showing that my DPS should be higher for my iLvl. Here is an example log:

Short description: So i have never been very happy with my dps, even when i belived i was doing perfect momentum rotations, granted my legendaries do not increase my dmg, but that is no excuse. So i looked at loggs what i was doing wrong and decided to replace demon's bite with demon blades and it increased my dps. But what i also noticed is that other DHs (with higher dps) got way more chaos strikes off, while i got off maybe 60 they did like 110 even in top loggs. So my mentality shifted from using chaos strike/annhialation only while my momentum was up and 100% bloodlet uptime(from momentum throw glaive ofcourse), to where i want to get off as many chaos strikes/annhialations as possible during momentum, even if my bloodlet runs out because of that and i felt like my dps went up. And in most loggs even if i keep 100% bloodlet uptime, it feels like the dmg is irrelevant compared to chaos strikes and so i want to replace my throw glaive relics with chaos strike relics. But as i read this forum you recommend using annhialation only during momentum, with which i agree, but is it worth using more than 1 throw glaive during metamorphosis if you keep landing crits and your furry keeps up?And what is your opinion regarding chaos strike vs throw glaive relics?

Would be grateful if you point out my mistakes from loggs and thanks for your answer ^^.

I ran fel blade this round. I wasn't sure without having AotHG if that would be a dps increase (sims said it would). First time running fel blades. Do you think i should continue for single target or keep bloodlet even without legendary ring? Also any recommendations would be much appreciated. New to the boards so see title for logs.

Been struggling with Single Target DPS the last few weeks. And it seems like the better gear I have towards increasing my Agility/Crit/Vers the less gains im actually making. This is the latest Mythic Ursoc kill. Some interesting things I noticed... My Chaos Strikes Casts and Damage matched almost exactly with another (better) Demon Hunter in the fight. I actually got more casts with higher crit chances and damage than him in this specific ability. However, he did almost 100k DPS more than me overall. He is a higher ilvl and ARtifact lvl then I am but I just found that odd. Regardless I'm still parcing very low for my gear score and I would really appreciate if someone can pin point where exactly in my rotations I'm suffering. Thank you!

I swap sets so often linking armory is pointless.

So my DPS is fine, in ST fights I generally stay in mid to high 90's, problem is I am low for my ilvl (~80-low 90%) I would like someone who parses very high both just in general but more specifically high for their ilvl to let me know what I can improve on

Here are some logs from recent fights, I understand at the higher ilvl you start parsing against people with ~54 traits which skews a lot as well as just trying to beat out good memento procs, but still looking to improve.

Hey guess ill jump straight to the point, im running with alot of DH in pugs or m+ (which is where i mostly run) and im finding im just always lacking in dps. i know dh can be at the top of the charts but i always seem to be a couple hundred k short of first and several hundred st from the top dh ive run with. ive gotten my stats quite similar, ive gotten my rotation quite similar and im at a loss at this point. its gotten to the point where i dont enjoy running on my dh as much because its just disappointing being so low in dps. anyhow, heres my combat logs from a +2 vault, the tank WAS slow to pull so i know my downtime is high but thats due to that,i also looked up a public log for another dh that was top 92 percentile, and my numbers varied only a few % generally which i know will add up, one thing i know is that i need to use meta more often, but other than that, any feedback is welcome. thanks.
