I have to say.....out of all the Alolan forms of old Pokémon, the new Dugtrio is definitely the worst and laziest design of the bunch.

It's like the devs needed one more old school Pokémon to bring forward to meet their quota and were all out of ideas and just said "fuck it, give Diglett/Dugtrio hair and call it a day."

Even the new Exeggutor design had enough thought put into it to at least make me go "eh, whatever, good enough." The new Dugtrio however just makes me facepalm so damn hard.

A longer neck is "enough thought"?

Alolan persian is just a persian with a fat face because it's "well fed" from being pampered

at least dugtrio's hair is lava

They at least put more effort into the overall design of Exeggutor (not much more, but still) and the reason why it looks the way it looks in Alola. With Diglett/Dugtrio they just went "eh, give it hair". It literally feels like they needed one more Alolan version of a Pokémon to hit a quota during development and they ran out of ideas, so this is what they came up with.

He's like a 1% chance sos call that can only be found in one patch of grass (the furthest one south i think) on route 3.

It's some kind of "round fluffy pancake" + thunder stone which triggers it. We just have to find out what the hell a pancake is.
