A lot of guys are imho being raised by their moms who teach them about the kind of man they want in their late 30's or the kind of man they feel obligated by society to admit to wanting. With a distinct abscence of fathers most men have nobody to guide them in getting laid so they follow their moms shit advice.

Honestly what i think happens is people learn by example. But some guys dont have examples to follow when dating women. That could lead to nice guy syndrome where they simply dont know what to do and act out in various ways.

Well, that is assuming that the person in question who is kindhearted, for example, has other attractive personality traits to the person they're trying to attract.
And that, for example there is another person who is "being fake" who is also trying to attract the same person, that he isn't that proficient at being manipulative or that he isn't incredibly physically attractive for example.

There are so many variables to situations such as this, you can't just blanket state that "well if you are genuinely kindhearted you have a higher chance of getting laid". I've met people who are so incredibly manipulative and good at it, that despite them being blatantly false people they could just wade through lovers like a red-hot spear through butter.

I've met such people as well, which brings the same level of credibility to the point as you have at the moment. So, you essentially have no actual proof of your claim.

There are plenty of nice guys who get laid all the time and plenty of assholes who don't.

It is not really about nice/nasty, it is more about alpha/beta male. There are more nasty guys in the alpha group percentage-wise but there are still quite a lot of nice guys.

Nice guys currently are more successful in life than bad boys, but thats a recent change in evolutionary terms. We only recently reached a meritocracy. We reproduce slowly as well. Given enough time, women who like bad boys will get weeded from the gene pool. For now we just have this painful process where women chase bad boys and result in terrible life outcomes and dont understandcwhy because they followed their instincts correctly. Any women that chases nice guys is more likely to be rewarded. Might take a long time to update our instincts.
