    It fixes it by everyone believing WoW and Blizzard is the best and spending 15-20 more dollars in their pockets to keep playing gg

    I don't get all the hate for the stat changes. Yes, it appears a nerf. But it's a test realm and it's only just popped up. It's not as if it's been on the PTR for the last 4 builds. Mot likely they've adjusted the stat percentages but now they'll tweak the stat values on items.

    I assume this is an attempt to both increase the value of Primary Stats(probably) as well as maybe draw people to upgrade their jewelry for ilvl instead of secondary stats(possibly, but not done very well)

    Hate on it before it makes it to live is the best policy.

    We got a 5% melee crit nerf already and now they're nerfing the secondary stats further, fucking stupid.

    They are doing it because a blue lvl trinket can be much better than a purple lvl trinket due to the secondary stats and how much better they are for your class.

    That's not going to change when every stat is getting nerfed. This change is because they don't want people doing a billion DPS by 7.3, like what happened in Mists with SOO or WoD with HFC.

    The only way to make classes like more variability in stats is to redesign the classes to like more variability in stats.
    Cheerful lack of self-preservation

    ..but don't have immediate solutions
    Okay, so Blizzard's idea of having immediate solutions is just buffing/nerfing numbers in the tiniest and hoping for the players to be/act happy.
    I've been playing Warlock since the day I started this game and it was FUN. I was able to do good stuff, people would like me in their group and that wasn't just because I have summon stone or healthstone or CR. Warlocks were actually useful. Even WoD was a better time for to be a Warlock, it had good single target, it had good AoE(Charred Remains, duh), it actually had mobility(Burning Rush not being in the same row with Demonic Circle, which happened to be a core spell). It was actually useful. But right now, I'm just getting declined applying M+ groups just because I'm a Warlock. I love this class and Blizzard is just drowning my baby right in front of my eyes and I can't do shit about it.

    hahaha nice joke .. rofl
    if they wanna fix the secondary stats .. they should remove this crapp once and for all .....or they should be sure the right stats comes on the right items for the right classes ....it cant be that a DH gets an 880 breast with haste mastery , and they say its better just cuz it got 300 aggility more ....while a breast plate with 865 and crit+versa should be worse while it got the right stats ....
    there is something wrong on blizzards point of view !

    So my class has to be ruined until Tier X where the stats will bring me back to where Iam at now? Fucking stupid

    For that Dark Legacy Comic, you can buy as many as you want at once with 1 simple command:

    /run BuyMerchantItem(17, 120)

    Replace 120 with the number of Starlight Rose you want (multiples of 3 only)

    The first number refers to the slot in the merchant's inventory that you're buying from. Other useful ones:

    Aethril = 13
    Dreamleaf = 14
    Foxflower = 15
    Fjarnskaggl = 16
    Felslate = 19
    Leylight Shard = 26

    Isn;t this just their implementation of making ilevel mor eimportant? They said they wanted a higher ilevel item to always feel like it was a good drop and an upgrade. It often doesn't now because the loot specialisation doesn't really work and you can end up with like a 10-15 ilevel better item that's complete crap because it's got useless stats on it. So as usual, instead of improving something, they nerf something else to make it look better.

    So basically the way of making primary stats better is to make secondaries worse. It's what they do when you got one good and two junk talents: nerf the good one.

    The intention is I am sure to make ilevel the deciding factor on items: no matter the stats, higher ilevel will be better.

    On the PTR my affliction warlock - freshly copied - has gone from 125% of 118% Mastery. So my dots will hit for 8% less. The primary stats don;t seem to be upgraded, so basically...this is a massive nerf for everyone.

    It also sounds to me as though this is an easy path to make the raids harder. Just nerf everyone's damage.

    Good to see this blue post on broken warlock mechanics. Now I guess they won't do **** until 8.0.

    LOL, that "it's only the PTR" and "they will change it or compensate for it for sure"....it never gets old.

    Never fails to give me a good chuckle anyway.

  14. #54
    Seriously though, for anyone who thinks the secondaries were to high to begin with, do you really not remember Blizzard specifically saying, at Blizzcon and beyond, that secondaries would start higher than ever before but scale slower? I'm pretty sure it was literally a slight from Legion's reveal panel. They wanted Fire, specifically Fire, said by name, to get a lot of crit from gear early because "having to wait till the last tier to really feel your class mechanics isn't fun."

    This change isn't that big a deal but it certainly goes against their expansion vision.

  15. #55
    It's only PTR guise!
    They always told me I would miss my family... but I never miss from close range.

    Question: is there any add-on that can make the items stats look like the picture of the neck above ??
    So I can see how much % gives a stat ?

  17. #57
    Are you sure you want to buy 3 roses for 1 blood?

  18. #58
    Great, they nerfed versatility, so now, my already fairly squishy DH is going to take even more damage... It already takes a lot of work to get versatility that high, now they are nerfing it again... what's the point in increasing secondary states on jewelry, if you are just going to nerf the effectiveness of all the stats by the amount gained from that increase... (at least at lower ilvls, since the ilvl is ever increasing %, eventually the nerf would be less than the increase in stats, basically. hmm, I feel like a graph would be a nice thing to have here...)

  19. #59
    So I hope every is concerned as much as I am about their design philosophy...

    "We're probably too reluctant to acknowledge problems for which we don't yet have a solution to present. But the fact that we haven't yet changed something doesn't mean that we think it's perfect as-is."

    If we don't have a solution for a problem we won't admit its a problem, if we don't admit its a problem we don't need to generate a solution......

    Mastery - Now requires 400 rating per 1 Mastery, up from 350.
    This isn't currently true each spec has a different value for mastery

    e.g for priest its:

    140 for shadow
    233.3 for disc
    280 for holy

    per point of mastery

    so not sure what the new values are, the others crit/haste/vers is the same for all classes, and until I just saw this I never realised all classes were different
