7.1.5 PTR Secondary Stat Changes Impact on rogues.

•Critical Strike - Now requires 400 rating per 1% Critical Strike, up from 350.
    •Haste - Now requires 375 rating per 1% Haste, up from 325.
    •Mastery - Now requires 400 rating per 1 Mastery, up from 350.
•Versatility - Now requires 475 rating per 1% damage and healing increase, up from 400. Now requires 950 rating per 1% damage taken reduction, up from 800.
so based on my stats now:

    LIVE

    Critical Strike : 8400 = 39.00% ( 24% + 15%)
    Haste: 1560 = 5.85% ( 4.85% +1%)
    Mastery: 8482 = 128.94% ( 96,94% + 32%)
    Versatility: 1384 = 3.46%

    PTR

    Critical Strike : 8400 = 31.00% ( 21% + 10%)
    Haste: 1560 = 5,16% ( 4.85% +1%)
    Mastery: 8482 = 116,82 (84,82 + 32%) *
    Versatility: 1384 = 2,91%

    * Mastery: 88 mastery = 1% for rogues. Keeping the proportions. 100 mastery = 1% in PTR

what you guys think about the change ?

Not much to think about, It affects all the classes more or less, sucks having even less crit for combo point generation but it is what it is.

Check your agility value from live and PTR, I believe they bumped agility up somewhat to partially make up for the stat devaluing.

With the base crit chance reduced and the amount of crit needed per % increased less than other secondaries, crit value will go up slightly.

Versatility will go down slightly due to the higher increase needed per %.

Haste down very slightly for the same reason as versatility.

    Mastery remains about the same.

Edit: these comparisons are in relation to other secondary stats, not dps per point.

For comparing your absolute values, you should keep in mind that jewelry (rings/necks) will generally have more stats after the patch, so that slightly compensates for the loss (although probably not fully, mind you)

It nowhere near compensates for anything.

    This completely annihilates our DPS.

It is a flat dps reduction over all classes. We are not getting annhilated, just a bit nerfed. We might get some buffs to compensate and we also get 25% more stats from rings and necks.
May the lore be great and the stories interesting. A game without a story, is a game without a soul. Value the lore and it will reward you with fun!

Don't let yourself be satisfied with what you expect and what you seem as obvious. Ask for something good, surprising and better. Your own standards ends up being other peoples standard.

You missed an important detail. As the item level of an item rises the secondary stats provided will increase exponentially.

There was a graph available explaining in some of the posts.

Without having the sweet spot of 50% crit with the artifact trait, would this shift the ideal mut build from EP/AP to MP/AP? EP uptime seems hard to maintain with such a hit to crit.

anyone have number for how much it change after the stats buff ?

  15. #15
My crit moved up 1% after the change still down 7% from live...
Mastery up 4% from last build still down 5% from live.

The stat buff was a complete joke of a buff.

Meanwhile the screwed up the stats on the tier and off set pieces in nighthold...
