Again, so what? The State of Indiana paid Carrier 7 million to keep 700 jobs there, that's about 10k per job on the taxpayers back. At $20/hr/40hr/week/25weeks/year the State of Indiana has paid for the next several months of these people's employment, and that's assuming that the 7 million is a one-time payment. In addition, Trump capitulated on his hard outsourcing punishment talk.

So, basically Trump sold out on a major election promise AND the State of Indiana made the taxpayers pay for it. Yeah that's totally a win. Well, except for those 1300 people who are now unemployed.

That's like saying he kept his promise to shoot someone in the knee.

The cost of keeping those jobs currently outweigh the benefits.

Well part is to massage Trump's ego, but there's actually some reasoning behind it too. Trump's ideas will be radical enough in some cases that he will have trouble with even some Republican votes. This is his way of saying to Republicans in Congress, the people are on my side so don't jump the fence and vote against me. The Republican majority is pretty thin, so it's important in his case to keep the majority solid.

The odd/worrisome thing is that everything he's doing feels very Sopranos style. Lots of cutthroat and veiled threats. The "victory tour" to send a message to Congress is one. Even Christie and Palin got thrown to the curb when he was done with the election. Then there was the Taiwan call which was a backhanded warning to China. For someone who's not a politician he's beating them at their own game by being even dirtier than they are. He's doing things where politicians in the past said that was over the line and they wouldn't do them.

The people around you voted for him. It's your fault to not making them understand you.
Or why do you believe can we have justice against people who just did their own thing while the people around them hailed hitler?

Some have seen parallels between the two.

I for one think Trump is too stupid to be the next Hitler.

My point is reflected in that article. He gave in. He gave the company $7m in concessions. He sent a message to companies that are already giving their CEO's tens, sometimes hundreds of millions in stocks and compensation, that all they need to do is threaten to move overseas and they will get rewarded for it.

I don't take anything Trump does or says seriously. The guy lies with almost every word he speaks, so it seems foolish to wait for him to speak. He's going to be a crappy president, just like the past several. The only real difference, is that he's more authoritarian, and will try to take away more people's freedoms.

Also, who the hell has a victory tour for the presidency lol.
    A motherfucking winner, thats who

He should drop his victory tour. It's not necessary and can be seriously inconvenient. They had to close the bridges in Cincinnati during rush hour. Or at least schedule it better.

There's just one problem with your narrative.

It's that Indiana had already offered the concession long before the election, but that Carrier wasn't taking it.

You understand how taxation works, right? They get 7m in tax incentives, and those workers end up providing that back with interest in 2-3 years time.

Or, do you not know how the real world works? He said he wanted to keep american jobs in america, and he did.

People who voted for Hitler were responsible for Hitler.

And, like, shouldn't he focus on building his cabinet/preparing to be the President?

Oh right, he isn't the one making any of the decisions. Eh. Carry on then.

Obama tries to say Trump won't be able to do it, and Trump does it before he's even inaugurated.

Guess how much it cost the taxpayers to keep those jobs here.

It has created a lot of entertainment here at least.

What Trump is doing is a "Thank You" tour to let the voters who supported him know he appreciates their support.

Looks like Trump supporters actually love socialism and state subsidized work.
