Finished Gankustuou: The Count of Monte Cristo - 7/10 (Good)

The visuals are fantastic. I'm not sure why people hate on it's CGI; it gets the job done and it does not look terrible.
I love the sci fi setting upgrade, but it feels like they could have done more with the idea.
Franz is the best bro!
I liked the Count up until it was revealed that his friendship with Alberre was all a lie. I knew he was planning on getting revenge at the three guys, but his methods have led to the deaths of innocents and he tried to kill Alberre! I was with Alberre on the part that I could not believe he was actually faking the friendship.
The climax was underwhelming and bizzare.
The epilogue didn't go deep enough into the consequences of the story and left me hanging.

Overall, a good watch.
