Should they raise the WQ reward cap when NH opens up.

Right now WQ gear rewards cap at 840 base, when NH opens up should that cap be raised to 855 base. That would keep it line with how it is now, +5 over EN LFR and 10 below EN-N.

It should not, it most Likely WILL. WQ's are, just like LFR, a catchup mechanism.

Perhaps not NH, but rather Tomb of Sargeras and 7.2.

I do believe the cap was raised when Emerald Nightmare was released. So more than likely it will be raised again.

I don't think it should be 855 base, but 850 would be great.

Yes, World Quests are perfect catch-up mechanic.

Ya not for nighthold, but whenever they increase the dungeon difficulty and rewards they will likely do it for world quests too

There was a global cap of 840 at the time. You couldn't get gear higher than that. The 845 cap for world quests is what it always was supposed to be.

A "catchup mechanism" for who? Most WoW players don't raid beyond LFR.

The global cap was 850. World quest didn't scale above 835 until 7.1.

    not feeling it.
Content drought is a combination of catchup mechanics and no new content.

Guilds who need healers/tanks levelled and geared due to IRL issues? (like my guild)

No. Keep WQs at their ilvl of 835, and then just go into mythic dungeons/world bosses from there. Same as the old days.
Isn't it ironic how education is important, yet people forget all about it when they visit the internet?

Or guild members that are rerolling to tank/healer due to a lack of such.

Alt catchup is a better idea then an across the board increase.

I feel 855 is appropriate, but anything higher than 845 makes EN a lot less relevant. Its tricky.

I think, the cap should be the same as normal raid gear. So, yea.it should be raised.

With WQs I just look for the ones that have an upgrade, go spend 5 minutes doing it, and voila ... I'm done playing.
Well, that's the reason why we have LFR, a.k.a. tourist mode, you go there to see bosses, story, etc... So LFR is doing its job just fine

Tbh WQ and LFR should have equal rewards, as both brings No challenge. WQ is a guaranteed piece of gear and you can get it alone without having to queue for anything.
LFR is a % chance to get a piece of gear with lower ilvl than WQ - except from ToV.

They don't cap at an 840 base now so you have already gotten what you want. I have seen 845 and 850 myself. Nothing like having a base 850 shock baton fizzle out and stay at 850.
