It's not about their physical ability to leave the Med but about their range and seaworthiness to conduct any military operations outside of it. Some european countries sure have ships that can participate in expeditionary operations but almost every single one of them is useless on their own.

The point you always miss is THAT YOU KEEP ASSUMING THE SAME BULLCRAP, while the exact opposite stands, is true and what deters those two countries from going on each other. You dismiss a presidents speech and you expect everyone to take your word over the obvious.

Our navy is not build for blue water operations. Having 1 ship capable of going out doesn't mean your whole navy is capable. And Greece dude is better military than the vast amount of EU countries. Go check some others.

Capable, but useless. Antisub equipment become ineffective very very fast. Also, those cannot every compare to modern corvettes in attack and anti-ship capabilities. The only capable NATO frigates are FREMMs.

What has kept the peace is NATO has no interest in attacking Russia and Russia has no desire to lose to NATO. Neither side sees an advantage in actually using nuclear weapons, and Putin's comments are meant to be lapped up by stupid people with no ability to apply logic.

Who said anything about troops against Russia? We are discussing the ability of NATO to move ships into the Pacific. In reality, NATO's biggest help would be in relieving US ships from duties in the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.

Might be the reason they seized it to prove it was gathering data on the near by naval exercise and to reverse engineer instead of blowing it out of the water but either way it wasn't done because China is pissed at Trump
