w/o a link or reference to said person, im gonna go out on a limb and suggest that maybe they went vegan to lose weight, possibly because of a friends suggestion. if there is more to the story, do tell please

I remember being subjected to a vegetarian meatlessloaf that was made as if a meatloaf ... but with nuts. Lots and lots and lots of nuts. >.<With COVID-19 making its impact on our lives, I have decided that I shall hang in there for my remaining days, skip some meals, try to get children to experiment with making henna patterns on their skin, and plant some trees. You know -- live, fast, dye young, and leave a pretty copse. I feel like I may not have that quite right.

Not sure how it was a "mystery" in the first place. Not eating meat doesn't cause one to lose weight or not gain weight. And if you're trying to lose weight (correctly), meat would actually part of the diet. /shrug

The fat vegan diet is basically junk food and vegan shit from Taco Bell.

by the looks its all been covered... but yeah, meat isnt the only thing that can make you fat. meat is actually far less fattening than a lot of the stuff you can eat/drink as a vegan. it doesnt stop you from devouring 15 pounds of sugar a day, although you likely wouldnt live long if you did.
