    The famous bad luck protection.

    Here I am, 4 months in, nearing 20 bloody days of played on level 110.

    Clearing NM, HC and Mythic EN every week, as well as NM and HC ToV as well as a full KZ clear (nightbane included).

    Doing EVERY SINGLE cache, haven't missed one since I'm lvl 110.

    Doing between 20 and 30 Mythic+ dungeons each week ranging from +6 to +12.

    Yet... I have seen only TWO UTTERLY SHIT LEGENDARIES drop.

    So explain to me.. What the f@#! am I doing wrong?

    Because I'm slowly getting tired of the RNG bullshit.

    Yes, this is a rant, yes, you may flame, but it had to come out. Where in the hell is the bad luck protection in my case?

    It comes down to 2 things.

    1) RNG is RNG and it currently hates you.

    2) You're over exaggerating your playtime/what you do in your play time, and just haven't earned them.

    that is actually not correct, a bad luck protection should accumulate to 100% at a certain point .if thats not the case its just utter bullshit (the system of course)

    as previous poster said . its most likely the op exagerating what he does

    Keep playing and you'll get more legendaries with time. Or start to farm mythic+ (20-30 per day, not per week) and you'll have 2 more (4 legendaries is a soft cap currently).

    If you won't get good legendaries among 4 first, consider creating a new character.

    First legendary has X% chance to drop.

    Second has X%/2 chance to drop

    Third has X%/4 chance to drop.

    All increased by whatever the bad luck coefficient is.

    This is why it takes longer per item on average.

    Actually it's 22 days and 14h of /played, sorry, I didn't exaggerate enough

    You've gotten two legendaries. Doesn't matter how good they are.

    not really, if the system is it increases your chance by 10% of your current chance each time
    lets say (so its not super long) it is cut in half each time

    so 0% first
    50% second
    75% next time
    so on so forth till your at

    90%
    95%
    97.5%
    99%
    99.5%
    99.75%
    99.9%
    99.95%
    99.975%
    99.99%
    99.995%

    so on so forth.... and im too tired to do acvtual math

    but you should get what im saying
    if it increases by a % of the current chance to not get one, by a portion, like start with 10%, each time you dont, reduce the chance to not get one by 10% of its current chance

    also btw, i have allmost double your /played time
    and i have my third legendary

    you have 2 allready, that is a pretty normal number for your play amount, so stop complaining
    yes the two you got were bad, thats bad luck, but the bad luck protection doesent go "aww he got a bad one.... lets not reset"

    I came here to feel sorry for someone who'd not received a legendary yet.

    You have received two.

    There is no actual problem here.

    Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
    You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
    Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
    Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

    Doesn't matter at all actually, Method stated that they never benched anyone for not having the right legendaries - So if it doesn't matter in the race for world first, it doesn't matter anywhere else.

    But, no one outside blizzard, knows how much bad luck protection is added per "failed drop"..

    It could take 10.000.000 failed drops, for you to reach 100%.. We do not know.

    Well, most players are exactly where you are. Some lucky ones have four legendaries, a few have three, most have two in our guild, and we progress just like you (although the m+ participation went down when people were reaching the 35th trait).

    That's just how it is. As shown in the other thread every legendary you get will double the average time needed until you get your next one.

    And additionally it has a fairly high chance to be a not-so legendary. Even with the changes in 7.15 a legendary that increases your performance will always be preferred to a legendary that does not and instead does add utility or survivability. While the latter are not bad per se, no sane dps would start to socket/enchant stamina (if possible) or versatility (when it isn't your best stat).

    And yes, I understand your rant as getting the wrong legendaries with the knowledge that getting a better one might be farer away than ever feels very, very frustrating. And I am not so bold to assume it would really hurt our guild progress if someone would have gotten a better legendary (although we also had our shares of 1% wipes this xpac). But it does hurt the player's motivation when you have to compare yourself to another guild member that always was or is equal in skill (and therefore numbers) and now pulls ahead because he got the better legendaries.
    That just feels highly unrewarding and demotivating.

    its based on stuff done, not time played
    if you played 5 hours and did 1000000 raids, you would have many many more legendaries then somone whos played 10000000 hours and done 5 raids

    There are enough ppl with 5 legendaries, though. Like, I do know at least four in my friendlist, so there you go.
    Also, there is this druid who had got his first legendary 47min /played on 110 and his second after 2hr 22mins. RNG is RNG, bois.
