More or less, depending on how far behind you are.


OP, the NEW catch-up is NOT in place yet. It will Soon™ be possible to buy several levels at a time, instead of waiting. But not yet.

7.1.5 will bring the AK catchup for Alts only. If you do not have your main with AK +20, you won't see a benefit really(as in, you quit at AK5, then never bothered to continue researching them further).

Currently the "If you started Legion late" catch up is live, which is that AK takes 3 days to research rather than 5 for the ones that have AK at highest level possible currently.

Also, the 7.1.5 catch up only works if you already have a character with a higher AK level, so don't wait and expect your main to instantly catch up in 7.1.5. The new catch up is for alts, the existing catch up (that reduces time per AK when below current max) is for mains.

Im pretty sure 7.1.5 has 2 different catchups

one where you can get BoA items to boost your alt to 5/10/15/20 if your main is high enough

and another where any character sub AK15 can buy instant BoP WOs to get to 15

Everyone can insta-buy up to AK level 10.
If you have a character above AK20 you can insta-buy up to AK level 15.

I could be wrong though.

I thought that was supposed to be the drawback. 500 resources per regular AK, but you have to wait vs 1k resources per instant AK, with no waiting. 15k Resources isn't that bad imo.

Nah, I was bullshitting. 1K seems low, but acceptable. Anything less would be cheesy. Anything too high would seem pointless (you'd REALLY have to farm them).

Yeah it actually isn't that much xD, considering you can literally buy resources for Blood of sargeras now.
