we have f22's and f18's, hell i wish they kept the f14's, just keep upgrading those.
agreed, f-35 was over priced and off schedule.
Now I wish we would keep building the A-10s
I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
It doesn't have to be trump's stock. It could be a person in his cabinet who did it who he was discussing the issue with. Trading on that knowledge is also insider trading. There doesn't have to be malice like instigating a price drop to sell stock. It could just be the realization that trump is going to say something stupid that will cause financial harm to a company, of which you own shares, and deciding to divest yourself. That's insider trading especially in light of the stock act.
Right but, what you are claiming, the stock is moving the wrong way. Buy low sell high, yes? But why sell on the high before bad news, when you have personal knowledge the bad news is temporary? This would be a really stupid way to exploit this inside info. A real inside trader, would either short someone else's shares, or buy on the low. What you surmise isn't at all how it would work out. Also, I'm pretty sure the folks over at the SEC have Twitter. We have people watching all of this. The notion that you have public info that the officials do not is pretty laughable, sorry.
Maybe he can get Russia to build us some for less money.
Uh..what....if you know the stock is going to dip, you sell high. thats literally basics. and btw He still owns plenty of stocks. Last I checked he still owns the parent company stocks of the oil company thats dealing the pipeline protests (he did sell his direct stocks in that company so guess that's something...)

However, what you're missing is that just having the top of the line tech is defense in and of itself. If enemies knew we were downgrading our capabilities, what does that look like? It looks like we're weaker than we were yesterday. Yet if we continue to innovate, we look like a constantly upgrading, moving target.
There's a lot more than just dollars at stake here. People ask why does the US have as much military budget as the next 25 countries combined, and the answer is varied, but part of it is so that the world knows there's a big bully on the playground. If everyone was on the same budget, same capabilities, people are a little quicker to pull the trigger.
You are failing to understand how it works, sorry. If you wanted to exploit this info, you would have bought stock low, or shorted someone else's stock before. Selling your stock just before it goes down, when you have inside knowledge that the down is TEMPORARY, is factually the DUMBEST way one could use inside information, if you can even call it that in this circumstance.
Bad PR from Trump often leads to a slight dip in the value. Boeing stock did the same thing as this, down then quickly back up same day. If someone did have inside info on this, they would have done things differently. They would have both shorted it, and bought on the low. Also, it takes two to make a trade. There are limits to how much of any stock is available, and how many buyers for it are available at any given time.
Of course not, because it isn't. I already explained to you that suspicious activity would look every different, and how. This is pure tin foil being spread by conspiracy theorists. Even if Trump did what I say a smart insider trader would do, we have an agency that watchdogs, the SEC. They have Twitter. This Twitter poster doesn't have info the SEC does not.
Build F-22s if you want a proper stealth plane. The F-35 is useless.
So, you are accepting the conspiracy theory that, just before Trump Tweets, that a person sells stock, for "reasons", and said person therefore MUST have been Trump. I mean the leaps of faith in this conspiracy theory are just massive....

What good is a jet you share with others? Make one that beats theirs, and keep it to ourselves, imo.
