I used to be an English major, before I switched majors...but I haven't written damn near anything in five years, so I'm finding it difficult to write. I guess I just gotta start doing it again to get better.

When I say "writing", I should clarify that I mean like, analysis of stuff and MMO-C posts (that are substantial), not writing stories and the like. But yes, what you wrote is still valid. I just find it funny that when I was in college, my professors commended me for the conciseness of my works, yet now I seem to ramble on and I find difficulty articulating my thoughts.

And yep, the anime. I also watched Sword Art Online earlier in the semester around like October or so. It was really good, though I haven't watched Sword Art Online II yet. But that might be for the best considering some of the reviews I've read of SAO II.

I enjoyed SAO2. If you enjoyed SAO I believe you'd enjoy 2 enough to warrant the watch. Kirito is still the all powerful badass, but it works imo. Give it a couple episodes to see if you'd want to continue. Worst case, you hate it. Best case, you watch the whole thing and wish for more like me.

Imo, SAO2 was not nearly as good as the first. It was also a bit rapey and incestuous for my taste. That being said, it should still be watched.

Out of those linked, I liked Amaranthe - Digital World the most.

Also, I just realized this...but Grave Digger's Rheingold album seems to have been strongly influenced by Wagner's Ring Cycle. I've only heard half of one of the four Wagner operas in the cycle (had to leave early cause it gave me a headache), but I think I strongly prefer Grave Digger hehe.

Listening to Halestorm right now. It feels...slow.

Sampled a few other Halestorm songs...definitely not my style. It feels slow...and just off in some way.

Tracktor Bowling and Louna are different bands, but they have the same singer and likely some of the same members (I think Tracktor Bowling disbanded and then Louna was formed later)

Already this feels heavier and faster than the other song. I don't hate Halestorm, but they're very "softcore" imo.

Hells yeahs, metal accordion is awesome! And yeah, Louna/Tracktor Bowling seem to be a lot heavier/faster than what I saw with Halestorm. I think I'm generally not super into "softcore" metal. Typically when I'm listening to metal I want music that fucking slams itself into my eardrums as heavy, fast, and hard as possible.

I want heavy guitar, drums, bass, whatever you can bring when I look for metal. Halestorm has heavy vocals as their focal point. Not terrible, and I love some good female vocals, but they lack the heavy metal vibe most other bands own.
