I think it's a side effect of how easy it is to get news. I don't think celebrities are dying at a faster rate, just that it's a whole lot easier to be made instantly aware of it happening.

That's very possible, even likely. Though we've been able to easily get news about celebrity deaths pretty quickly for 5-10 years now, in terms of the interwebs and smart phones... but I do feel like this year is a bit... out of the ordinary, a lot of celebrities who did a lot of good for this world, were pioneers, I don't remember having nearly as many issues in 2014 or 2015 with celebrity deaths, to be fair.

And let's toss in Aleppo for good measure. =/

Amen, as a God Emperor Trump voter I am still riding the high of him beating Hillary against all odds and predictions.

But, it sucks about Carrie Fisher. She was a good actor and I look forward to episode 8 but worry about how it will affect episodes 9's story. I'm sure Disney is smarter than I am and will figure it out.
