We already played this game with the numbers though. It's a false narrative, and also pointless since power of the purse resides in the House of Representatives.

Bush accelerated the sub prime fiasco by loosening the strings allowing low incomes to buy more home than they should. He wanted every American to own a home.

Well, all Trump has to do is keep the National debt under 40 trillion (assuming he stays in office for 8 years,) and he will beat Obama's excellent record for the national debt increasing ~13% a year. Obama has set the bar so low, his numbers will not be difficult to beat.

You appear not to understand that gerrymandering also affects governorship races although in a more roundabout way. When a state is gerrymandered to all hell at the local level by republicans, it severely damages the local democratic party infrastructure and leadership bench by taking out so many of their people. That in turn results in far weaker candidates for higher office and a damaged election machine, which in turn means less governorships controlled by democrats. It's all linked.

Not hard since Trump won't have to deal with the economic crisis the Obama's fixed. If you take the economic crisis out of the equation, Obama's yearly debt increase is below 5%, which no president other than Bill Clinton has ever done in the history of the USA.

You don't get the point. The targeting of the spending is mostly irrelevant. It's the pushing of money into the system to restart the economic motor that is. Yes it helps if its targeted wisely but that is just icing on the cake

This is not really true. The targetting does matter. Bernanke and the fed gave the banks trillions and theyve basically sat on it. Stimulus spending requires that stimulus actually be spent on goods and services. Classes with a higher marginal propensity to consume will by definition spend more leading to better growth. Giving money to the banks and the wealthy simple means that money will remain in savings as a "leakage" from the circuit.
