You're fairly ignorant, this game is not hypersexualized at all compared to Porn and Soul. That game is basically just fanservice while BDO is not. And BDO has way more depth than any other mmo out there.
It is also the only game to ever kill off WoW's rp community which is so small now compared to before. But that is also thanks to blizzard fking up the sharding tech and the garrisons. This game launched at the perfect time.

Nah, you're wrong. Compared to pre-wod it is nothing like it used to be. If Cathedral RP is the community in your eyes, then sorry to say, but you're dumb. Because there is no RP outside the Cathedral anymore, same goes for horde which is mostly in Orgrimmar and a few ones in Silvermoon.

I play on Moon Guard (US) and Argent Dawn (EU) and I can clearly tell you there's no open world RP anymore. It's dead.
There's just RP in the Cathedral now, Goldshire does obviously not count as all they're doing there is cybering.

I never said it hadn't died down. But Black Desert really didn't do any damage to it. Also I'm rping quite a bit on Argent Dawn and Moonglade in the world so I would have to disagree with you. And I've run into other parties.

Not everyone and sorry you don't get to make the rules. There is lots of people on both sides RPing. There is always a group in org near the back AH.

Finally got to try it with the 7 days free. There is way too much going on in terms of UI and presentation that it's overwhelming. Game looks far worse than I thought it would. Superb models, awful environment. This is with settings all on max. I couldn't play more than an hour before I logged off. Glad I never paid for this game. I'm sure there are more positive things going for it if you can get through the beginning....I Mean the combat seems really promising, but the way they start you off is just crap and I couldn't take it.

Tera seems like a more accessible version of the same game, though I know BD has more there...it just is difficult to see through the chaos to it. Oh well, I can't play every game I guess. More power and fun to you guys that enjoy it though, seems like there is a lot there.

Tera is a lot more directional and has more player purpose than BD does. About the environment, it gets a lot better once you are out of the newbie areas. Also the intrusive UI is quite a hindrance in that regard. I'd say maybe try a different class next time there is an opportunity and maybe play around with the UI to get rid of the clutter. Otherwise, yeah it may just be a game that you can't get into.

its not dead at all but if you want to join the game for pvp I wouldn't, the crafting, pve combat, and such is great, but what makes the pve combat great makes pvp horrible. In comparison think d3 meets ashran and thats a one line sum up of bdo pvp.

If pvp isn't your thing, you can spend all day training horses (and racing them), fishing is actually surprisingly enjoyable, build a trade empire, cooking and more. And yes the game is jaw dropping beautiful

Definitely not dead. The game is great on every single point, besides PvPing which is way too competitive, that is if you manage a miracle with the RNGeesus.

The cost of entry is very low, if you've been on the edge I'd give it a try. I'm well beyond 500 hours of play on this game.

I love the graphics in this MMO, the combat, the gathering/trade skills professions & the fishing boats aw yeah. But I cant play it anymore even though I kinda want, its so pretty.
I need better PVE. Just griding monsters at one spot for hours and hours to get money to buy items or get stones to upgrade isnt my thing. Wish there were some kind of "normal" PvE too or dungeons to get good gear without upgrading it, then I could see myself play this for a long time.

Same with SWTOR! All the MMOs I kinda like have shit PvE or removes it. SWTOR kinda abandoned the dungeons and raids... loved all the other stuff but noooo. I wanna play that again but no I wont for just some story chapters. PvP was kinda fun but I want new dungeons & raids too damn it!

That's how I usually feel too. MMOs need to start simple, like Guild Wars 2, otherwise I can't be bothered. I bought Black Desert and so far I have played it for less than an hour. Money well spent.

It's crap. Just like when they added "new dungeons" to the desert area. Remember those? All it was is an area with tons of trash mobs for you to grind. PvE is garbage and always will be. It's a PvP game to the end.

The game has no PvE. I don't count grinding the same mobs over and over again as PvE. They're just loot pinatas, as are bosses.

You can't compare it to games that have raids and dungeons.

Did they nerf exp needed to level up to 50? I would give this game a second chance but I can't be bothered to do a mindless grind to max level.

You can do 1-56 in 2 days.

There's no such thing as a max level, there are softcaps. Up until lvl 56-57 it's rather easy.

But the game's a mindless grind in its entirety, anyway.
