    "WoW obviously isn't for you"

Something that irks me is whenever somebody complains about one aspect of the game you're guaranteed somebody will say "WoW obviously isn't for you" despite them enjoying other aspects of the game. The only time this sentence is valid is if the person finds nothing fun. I personally don't like raiding or mythics and the amount of people that say this is ridiculous. Mythic and raiding by design is optional content, it isn't mandatory to enjoy WoW, in fact the only mandatory aspect of WoW is levelling (funnily enough the aspect I enjoy most alongside story, quests and RP). Perhaps people can stop telling people WoW obviously isn't for them just because they don't enjoy the same aspects as you.

I feel that this isn't the game for you OP

Thing is, its fair enough that people dont enjoy certain aspects of the game, and still play for other aspects.
The problem arises when those same people try to change the aspect that they don't like, into something they do like, while people who liked said aspect in the first place don't want it changed.
If you play the game for one aspect, don't try to change other aspects for your own benefit.

This looks like a diary entry.
While I don't like whiny threads, I agree that it does not look like the best way to respond to people who have a complaint. It's silly most of the time. WoW can be for a lot of people as long as they don't want to change everything for everyone else or tell them what to enjoy. Look at the ones hating the players who like pet battles.

If you don't like Leveling, WOW isn't for you
If you don't like doing daily repeats of the same set of tasks, WoW isn't for you
If you don't like Pet battles, WoW is no longer for you
If you don't like Player vs Player action, WoW isn't for you
If you don't like doing a set task over and over to achieve a goal, WoW isn't for you
If you don't like raiding, WoW isn't for you
If you don't like interacting with hundreds of random people, WoW isn't for you
If you don't like luck playing any role in your game, WoW isn't for you.
If you don't like to makes choices about Races, talents, classes, outfits, WoW isn't for you
If you don't like playing a game like it's a 2nd job, WoW isn't for you

If you don't like the current state of the game, WoW isn't for you.

Isn't it really "MMOs aren't for you" for most of those things?

Oh I agree but I am still open to suggestions that make them fun for them. I may disagree strongly but I welcome it for the occasional good idea

This is basically where I'm at. I'll almost always come back for an expansion / major patch, and I usually still have an active account, but my gaming time doesn't permit me to do some of the things I've done in the past. The game doesn't need to change to suit me, though- I'm fine with just playing when I'm having fun.

I do think it's important to consider feedback, but, at the end of the day, I want Blizzard to direct the game- not a constant poll of what's popular for that 10-minute for the most vocal players. If that means I play less, so be it.

It depends. Some folks find some of the core concepts of the game to be a problem. For those people, there are other games that are much more fitting for what they are looking for.

For example. Some people want nothing to do with other players and resent having to do content that isn't wholly single player. I can sympathize with that sentiment, but WoW is an MMO. Multi-player content is part-and parcel to the core of the game. There are plenty of other games out there with similar playstyles and control schemes that are single player games that said person would find much more enjoyable being able to play those games as intended while actually seeing all the content.

For that person... honestly, maybe WoW isn't for them.

It does get overused by people though. If somebody enjoys PvP, but cannot stand raiding... well, WoW can most definitely be for them.

However, I think in that (or other similar) cases, the person has to understand that they are not going to get the rewards and benefits offered by the content they don't use. When those people complain about that, well, then they open themselves up to that kind of response. After all, I don't PvP, but I don't whine about not getting the PvP mounts or titles. Those are for people that do that content, a group that I'm not a part of.

You are right that the game is home to a diverse playerbase. However raiding/mythics are the core gameplay, its fine if you dont enjoy them but at the end of the day thats where the dev time goes. So as long as you are ok with never getting new content continue to play. Its not a problem unless you are advocating for the removal of core features that you dont enjoy.

It's players, who still don't understand, that MMO - is game for wide auditory of players. They think, that what they personally do in game - must be done by absolutely all players and if other players don't like game, as they like - then this players shouldn't even play it.

    I don't care about Wow 11.0, if it's not solo-MMO. No half-measures - just perfect xpack.

This is exclusively false. MMO champ is for people who hate WoW and feel the need to gripe about it to everyone.

And although wow is the flagship game here, this site also has boards for other MMOs.

Maybe the company trying to get as large a subscriber base as possible is to blame a little bit here? Everybody has to be included, don't like people, no worries, you don't have to deal with them even in an MMO. Content too difficult, no worries mate, we got you covered with 100 difficulty settings. There are many examples but I am sure you get the drift here.

It's all about the irl goldses.

Its a nonsense argument by those either too lazy or unable to form a proper argument. It implies that WoW is a static game without any possible improvements or new content. Its like telling someone whos upset that they lost their job that "life obviously isn't for you". This game changes every patch and so do peoples wishes. As long as there arent billions of MMOs available each tailored to a specific person, some people will have to share. As long as WoW is the game closest to your ideal game, its only logical that you'd be playing it. Some patches might move it closer to your ideals and some patches further away, and youre free to complain or give feedback about that.
