Farming at low skill level in Legion

So i'm leveling up herbalism and mining on my toon and have a simple question: do you actually get more herbs and minerals when you reach legion skill level or does it not matter?

Skill level in Legion when farming Legion nodes doesn't matter.

Rank of the respective material (ie star level) matters.

So you're better off just farming in Legion zones so that you get the chance for the upgrade quest to increase your star rating for the material.

This is true for all rank 2 herbs, but then only some rank 3 herbs you get another additional amount. Other rank 3s will give some kind of buff/effect instead.
