On blizzcon which was in November the lead developer said that 7.1.5 PTR is coming right after blizzcon and so did happen. It was released 24 hours within that time. He also said that 7.2 PTR is coming right after 7.1.5 is released. This leads me to believe that 7.2 is getting released this week by latest!

They'll need a month or two to fix 7.1.5 before they even think about 7.2.

I think first PTR build will be in end of January or February. I guess it could land any day, they have worked on it even before Blizzcon. They clearly want Legion patches to be more space out (to avoid another Mist of Pandaria), so I expect 7.2 in April and 7.3 in November.

Considering the main rule of announcements, take things with a grain of salt. 'Right after' doesn't have to be the same week. In business, right after can also be the next month. I would think too seen for 7.2 PTR when the initial raid isn't even launched after 7.1.5. Originally Posted by djambalaz

Just like they said legion beta will come right after (the following days) blizzcon 2015. In fact, it was ALPHA that was released in Dec 2015.
That said, we're at least 1 month away from 7.2 PTR, if not 2 months.
The actual patch will most likely release in may or June.

Nighthold comes next week
They have enough on their plate right now. Opening PTR servers for 7.2 would be overkill.
