Well, some things are clear, some are less.

The document in this thread is forged, that much is clear. We know that Russia's behind some hacks during the election, but Trump didn't state what came from whom. He said China (obviously) was also behind some hacks, and a few more countries. He spoke about the content of the e-mails, which are rightfully shameful on the DNC -- a large part of the conference was on how he was not under legal obligation to hand his company away, but he still will, although quite frankly this felt more like a show than anything else -- he also blasted a buzzfeed reporter, which made me laugh, but on this point I actually agree with Buzzfeed for publishing the article. Trump did not state that his staff had no contact with Russia, which seems to indicate there were communications between the two political parties. To what extent? Was Trump a direct actor, that he already said no. But for everything else, nobody knows.

What they don't like is even if something is blatantly untrue once the media gets a hold of it and reports on it (even with giant UNVERIFIED neon sign over head) it does what it's supposed to do. They hate it because their side used the exact same tactics to win over people. Screaming "EMAILS" and people just buying into it with 99% of people not even reading the content of the emails. The document was assessed before Trump spoke, with proof that these allegations in the document aren't true. Trump then proceeded to say that the two-page summary given to both Trump and Obama was in case the document was leaked. Everything else is what Trump claimed in his speech, so take it with a grain of salt.

The reality, though, is that you'll probably never have a clear cut answer. There's too much noise on both sides to ever get a full report on what happened in reality. Personally, and I say this as a Wikileaks supporter, not Trump or Hillary, I think there's much we don't know that is being hidden/downplayed for the US own political war.
