Noxxic's Released Class Sims...Mostly Accurate?

OP doesn't even ask how accurate is Noxxic, he asks how accurate is the list there, and nobody here is giving any kind of rational answer as to why this list is not accurate.

I see that the main problem why these sites are not considered "accurate" is because people don't understand how to read them. Simulated result and real situation can give very different results, even 2 different simulations can give different results, but even that doesn't necessarily mean that any of them is "wrong". They are answering that way because it's Noxxic, a site that is widely known for being inaccurate and generally an awful source of information, to the point that even Blizzard themselves have said to avoid the site. It doesn't matter what disclaimers Noxxic may give in this case; regardless of what the results are, most people know better than to trust anything that site says.

I've heard through the years that Noxxic has always been completely off on everything it provides. So I've strayed away from reading any of their guides and stuck to Icy veins, but what boggles my mind is when and how did the hate and generally mass dislike of Noxxic happen?

Where did they go so wrong that the whole WoW community (the most of you) started hating them to the guts?

At least for Demon Huter it is way off. I have an average ilevel of 890 equipped and sim at 595k DPS - more than 100k more than their "895 Havod DH".

Just have a bit of fun - it really doesn't matter at all what you play on your level of play. They're all just the same.

I am fairly certain that's how it is for a big majority of the playerbase actually. Except for the minority of tryhards who actually only play based on sim-ing.

Calling them tryhards is a bit far. I sim to see what my class can do in my gear and what gear is the best upgrade. This doesn't mean I care how others play. If someone doesn't care about that stuff that is perfectly fine.

The issue is that noxxic always manages to produce different numbers to known trusted sources. I'm sure anyone who has looked at their class discord will notice half a dozen or so pins from theorycrafters who have proven themselves a reliable source of information. Simcraft it self is a great tool but it always needs to be viewed in context. Noxxic has seldom given any context to their rankings.

Ok i see i gotta further explain what i am saying; so i'm drawing some paralells to business-theory.

Simming what you have in order to perform better with what you have is one thing. This is simming for efficiency. (Doing things right)
Just looking at sims and selecting your character based on "what might be" is another. This is following sims for effectivity. (Doing the right things)

I was talking about the second line from the above definitions. Most of these "Uhh my class is simming horribly i better reroll"-types will never be anywhere near the potential DPS a sim will show you.
For 2 reasons:
- no encounter is really a patchwerk fight
- "skill"
And these are who i call "tryhards".

Noxxic aren't as terrible as people think, generally they're pretty accurate, if not far off. I have a feeling most people who bitch about them don't actually know why they're bitching about them.

On the rare chance that dumpster fire of a site is close to right it is accidental. Like a broken clock is right twice a day. There have been times for SWTOR and WoW that they just copied the talent trees over from multiple specs and picked the same generic talent set up having chosen things you couldn't even get in that spec. The sims they have are almost always wildly off. Sometime they will have the order close to correct, but the numbers are no where close. That is just the tip of the iceberg though, because when they are wrong they are wrong by miles. Feeding foolish newer players awful information and handicapping their abilities in the games they play. Firewalls and maleware software should block that awful site from peoples computers.

You are right. Being more than 100k DPS off on some classes is amazingly accurate.

I can only judge their Demon Hunter stuff and it is horrible and unusable if you don't want to suck.
