Sooo the issue then isn't CNN, it's Buzzfeed, which you won't get an argument from me about how garbage they are.

Yeah the document exists, it looks very legit!!!111!!1 I'm sure this is not the work of a troll! Kappa

A reference is not a link, genius.

To be fair that looks believable.

So, what exactly are you trying to say? That they admitted the documents exist and that's somehow a problem?

It's like you haven't looked at the actual document to realize that image exists nowhere in it.

Don't get me wrong, I was hoping that the Trump hentai and hookers slumberparty story was true as well, but sadly I live in reality and have to live with the fact that such a fantastical situation never occurred. Despite me wishing it did so fucking badly : (

The problem is they referenced Buzzfeed sharing fake news with knowledge that people would go straight to Buzzfeed. Otherwise they would mention the unverified part around the same rows, not far after.

Essentially with knowing the psychology of people legitimizing the Buzzfeed release.

Even though he shouldn't have done that and the emails proved to be nothing, that didn't make the reporting on his announcement fake news.
What do YOU think about the story? You keep telling me what I think is wrong, but you have not ever said what you think. Why is that?

Also, you can be mad at Comey all you want but, I personally (<-this means opinion) think he was completely correct to investigate the Weiner emails that had just fallen in his lap (loose pun intended). It wasn't fake news to say that he had just finally been allowed to examine them, after being stonewalled by the DoJ for three weeks. Should he have said it publicly? Perhaps not but, sources say that until he did say it publicly, he was not allowed access to them. So there is that. It's a complex world, no matter how much you want to parse words and nit pick details.

No, they say "Wrong" like their beloved Donald Drumpf.

Still shows how untrustworthy they are to anyone with any critical thinking. Just like when rich people use loopholes to evade taxes.

I don't think you are living in reality that's the problem. The piss story is a troll. If you understand the background it is astoundingly obvious:

The counter-narrative is that the 4chan archive only shows a post in October/November, but if you read what the guy says he said he started working on it months before as an act of revenge. He is also speaking to a lawyer about publishing his correspondence showing how he orchestrated it. I predict a lot of people are going to feel very foolish very soon.

This sounds like a conspiracy theory.
If people don't have the patience to read 2 extra sentences, then that's their problem.

The document in question, both of them actually, reference a fake story. The entire point of the documents, was to notify officials about a fake story. The ROOT story, is fake news. CNN saying the fake news was presented for investigation and/or briefing, is of course not fake news. However, making a mount Everest size mountain out of a this tiny molehill is just as salacious as what Buzzfeed printed. Now that Jake Tapper has been discredited, I think Anderson Cooper might be the only host they have left with any credibility.

Spoken by someone who obviously knows nothing about the attention span of most people. People believe GMO and vaccines are bad (and the general media has a lot to answer for in the first case), how much do you think they will see save for the juicy bits about leaked documents when CNN knowingly places unverified far later?

Oh, so we're taking anonymous 4chin users at their word now.

This is how low the bar has sunk? I mean, if he can come out and prove it (he'd lose his anonymity in the process), then sure, I'll believe it.

But I don't believe a single thing I've ever read on 4chin, and for good fucking reason.

This is exactly my point. No matter how coy they were about it, they spent 24 hours pushing a fake news story for political reasons.

How do YOU know that the story is false. The FBI is trying to ascertain if the story is true or false. I mean it sounds outlandish but I'm going to reserve judgement until proven otherwise.
