I'm not a liberal, thank you.
Our healthcare system HAS its issues. I'm not making the outlandish claim that it's the best. In fact I haven't made a claim remotely close to this.
But it is better than the US system. I'd rather wait three months for a specialized medical intervention than wait two weeks and lose my house, my car, my job and declare bankruptcy.
And emergencies are treated very well and fast over the regular schedule. People in Canada don't die on their waiting bed. The only downside is, again, the wait time for less pressing intervention, which is proof that the money barrier prevent people from seeking vital help.
