I mean, it's considered OK to watch GoT in public, but not ok to watch porn, both of them are 18+, at this point i don't see the difference.

Let's drive it up all the way to absurd city - should drawing (drafting, doodling, whatever) fake anime boobies in your notebook considered harassment? And if it doesn't have nipples? If it do have nipples but it's male nipples?
If you play that 'art' on public transport around my young niece/nephew then I'm going to stop you. I am not going to ask first. There's plenty of perfectly legal shit we don't do in public because it might make other people uncomfortable. Why is this so difficult to comprehend?

Yeah much better to teach children violence than sex, that is normal and healthy. Whilst wrong to watch porn in public what you propose to do is far worse and far more harmful to both society and children you force your impressions on.

If a Woman can Breast Feed in Public and claim it's natural. Why can't a dude watch some people do the most natural thing Mankind has to do.

Leaning over and turning off a phone is violence now?

I would call that an attempt to steal the phone and would call you a robber. Regardless of your intent and what i do with it.
If a person just sits there and watches something on his phone - you look at the screen, see something you don't like and reach out to do whatever (you may intent to turn it off, but person in question will definitely think that you are stealing it) - you are pretty much in the wrong here.

Would be really hard to look innocent here - you just reached to some dudes phone to tamper with it or steal.

Could well lead to it. Touching strangers things without warning is playing with fire. Do-gooder types often get a swift dose of reality when they decide they are right.

There will always be a demand for porn, sex is actually a primary need.
It is mainly the church who is responsible for making sex into a bad thing.
Like those priests was concieved any other way.

Today internet is forming more and more socially challenged youth, which ensures that the demand for porn will keep growing bigger.
But the same youth are more enlightnened (less religious) and will change how the society percieves sex in the quite near future.
Look at how even the most far fetched manga is totally acceptable in public around the world.

Under the circumstances...I'm inclined to believe that he will have more public support than you will.

I support him because after you yell "He's stealing my phone" he yells back "I was going to turn off his phone because he's using it to watch porn right where my niece and nephew can see it"

Mainly it was for the articles.
I also used to watch porn. Mainly it was for the story. There are some amazing screenwriters in that industry.

So, if someone reaches for others phone and gets called out for doing that, he makes an excuse, because you don't know was he watching porn or wasn't (which is completely irrelevant, you can ask someone to turn it off, but have no right to turn it off yourself. You are also free to move away), you believe the guy possibly perpetrating the crime?

Public porn viewing can get you a disorderly conduct charge at best and an obscenity charge at worst, particularly if you (inadvertently or no) view pornography in a public area in front of children. That sort of behavior is what can get you on a sex offender list for crimes against children.

Depends on what kind of porn it is.

Also it is none of your business what I do or watch on my phone or laptop or whatever if it is muted. No one is gonna come to your children and show them porn. If you can't watch over your children its your own problem.

eh, i watch porn as entertainment. i would not, under any circumstance, do so in an obvious way in public.

i mean, it just sounds like outrage for outrage's sake. like most of this shit. though, i will say, if children are around, it shouldn't be allowed.

You are also possibly perpetrating a crime...so who should I believe? I only have your word he was trying to steal your phone. On the other hand, he's got two kids with him that make his argument seem plausible...plus they might even be able to back him up on the porn issue if they also saw it.

Watching videos on your device in public is not a crime... And you've told that you've seen a man reaching over to someone elses phone, while you haven't seen what the other man was doing with his phone. Wow, seriously, i wish you were in a situation when you was peacefully doing your thing with a phone in public, when some random man reaches over it, tries to steal it and when you yell at him he just yells back that you was watching porn and brings his kids in.

People using kids to perpetrate crime, shocking!

And again, there is way more means to deal with this situation, and none of them is "get your hands on someone elses properly"

Depending on where you are, public viewing of pornography can trigger obscenity laws...especially when there are children nearby.

If someone did that to me I would happily reveal to the world that I was, in actual fact, not watching porn.

You however, in your haste to call out the guy trying to turn off your phone...still have porn streaming on it.
