Alt chars: any point in doing Suramar or Light's Heart quests?

I haven't done it on druid/priest/monk (all healing specs) and none of them required it. Could have always bugged out for you, though.

Just to point out how crazy the AP is, my Warrior hit 110 the day before patch. With the 20 AK, she got her 30th trait within a matter of a couple days, the majority of the AP coming from Suramar (plus a couple Emissaries and a bunch of mostly paltry WQ AP rewards). She was at 5 or 6 traits before patch.

I'd at least unlock the disguise for Suramar unless you plan to never do any of the WQs inside the city. Depending on class, there are some hidden artifact skins from withered training too.

Well, I will have to get to exalted on at least one character per class to get the shoulders from the OH set for my collection, so this is pretty much mandatory for me. :/

My priest has 3 relic slots without the quest. After going there with 5 characters, Velen annoys me to tears.

The quest rewards can upgrade as well. One of my alts has an 855 version of the headpiece from the BRH quest.

I skipped the lights heart chain completely on my priest and he has his 3rd relic slot unlocked.

With the new catchup mechanics for AK, the Suramar quests give a metric frackton of AK to a fresh 110. Plus, some of the quests are a hoot once you know what to do.
