What made classic wow better than current?

Why not? If people can be here because they hate either current or classic, why can't I hate both? It's a website for many MMO games, not just WoW.

I wouldn't even be able to name guilds which are on my server or server cluster TBH.

Yeah, I couldn't tell you who were the top guild(s) on my server for the last few years at least. Back in the day, everyone knew who they were for certain. Its sad the game has deteriorated to this. Its simply a task based game as you basically stated. I guess though, it depends on what you like.

Meanwhile on good servers, everyone knows the name of the server first guild on their server to this day. Plz don't lie about stuff, intellectual dishonesty isn't good for discussions.

One of the reasons original World Of Warcraft is better than the current game that tries to pass itself as Warcraft, is I think the Community and the feeling one gets that one is just a member of a huge community of other gamers that is vibrant and alive:

There is another thing I'd like to add. Yesterday, I had to run through Duskwood to get to the Moonwell in the middle of the map in order to convert some Felcloth to Mooncloth. It was raining heavily, and it so happened that it was raining heavily outside my house too. I somehow felt that I was really riding through a dark forest in heavy rain. It was an awesome feeling that I got from a 12 year old game, and one that one can't get now out of the current version. The current version feels completely fake.
