Gotta love Qm on free weekends, its like all out amateur night.

Just back from a match where we had a first time Abathur, a Falstad that was blind and just wanted to take merc camps when there was people pushing our base, A samuro that kept disconnecting, and a li migng that couldnt hit a side of a barn with her spells. I was butcher, and pretty much had 75% of the kills of the team. Felt a huge load on my back the entire game.

im at a loss for what to say

this weekend seems to be the weekend of 'how do you counter murky/gazlowe laning all game i dun understandz'

I'm done with HotS for this weekend, this was simultaneously an amazing match and probably the most jaw-dropping stupid I've ever seen.

Seeing a Zeratul engage on my Vikings, become visibly confused when I wasn't running away and then dying had me laughing and lamenting.

Currently have 1 win - 4 losses for my placement matches in Hero League right now. This is even worse than last season's placements if I lose another game.

    - - - Updated - - -

Finished my PMs with 5-5. Weirdly enough, I did worse than last season during my placements where I got 6-4, but of some reason I am placed higher than I did despite of it. The ladder is weird.

    Season 2: 6-4 win-loss
    Rank: Upper Platinum 2.

    Season 3: 5-5 win-loss
    Rank: Mid Platinum 1.

Considering they cut Diamond population in half this season, that is very surprising indeed. You must have had quite the positive adjustment carry over from last season.

I had a relatively positive win rate from last season as well as played about 400 games during said season while keeping myself in mid to upper Diamond. Maybe that contributed in me being placed that high when I have consistently been able to place in Diamond every season?

Could definitely be a contributing factor.

I really should get through my placement matches soon. I ended close to Diamond 4 promotion last season with +30 personal adjustment. I should do something about it. xD

Occasionally dip in, like the other day:

First random, I pick Azmodan as I just bought him with gold, don't do too good until the mid-to-late-game but it's too late & we lose anyway, think to myself I must be rusty, pick my old Main 'Valla', bit nervous as she has been altered or some such since I last played, straight away ganked & dead, teammates start the shit-talk, in the end I got MVP & only died one more time, still play a mean Valla, really need to give this game more of my time...

Managed to get into Diamond League during Sunday after playing some games after my placements. Of some reason I feel like Hero League feels less frustrating to play this season compared to the previous one. Maybe that's because I had easily one of the worst loss streaks imaginable when starting off last season, but I also feel like the changes done to the solo ladder for season 3 was an improvement.

Not having duo queue and a reduced Diamond League pool have helped making my bracket less frustrating, since Diamond League was previously way too crammed with people who honestly had no place being there (let's be honest, Diamond rank in season 1 especially was nearly meaningless because of how easy it was to get to Diamond 3).

There's Valeera's update coming today. We'll see if they will bundle in additional balance changes or do those in a separate update like they did at Zul'jin's release.

Won a 24 min long thriller on Blackheart's Bay yesterday. We could've ended like 3 or 4 times before that, but for some mysterious reason after each won teamfight our team just wanted to go split-push or farm coins or do camps or do anything else really except killing the enemy Core.

Looks like some people don't realize that at lvl 17 you can smack the Core down with your bare hands if the enemy team is dead.

So after about a week of playing against AI, I did my first MP match. Wow. Much fun. Best part is though, my team was totally losing the whole way, but at the end we clinched a win. All of our forts down, their minions had gotten our core to 21%, I hearth to pull some defense and the rest of my team takes down their core.

Very first game. A good start if I do say so myself.

And yeah, I don't think anyone, including myself, knew what the hell we were doing.

Thank you to the Alarak and Auriel who died intentionally 12 and 11 times. Looking at both their accounts they are bronze in quick match and hero league and have less than 700 games combined and an mmr of 800 and 1100, whereas I'm 2600 HL and 2800 QM... gg matchmaker.

Edit: Also noted an mmr difference of over 500 between the 2 teams, how are they fair?

I had a game yesterday: 2 specialists (me as azmo), 2 assassins and Lt. Morales on Haunted Mines. The Morales did 0 healing and went full grenade build + medivac, team was complaining endlessly throughtout. We managed to win by cheese pushing 25 mins in when skull phase was on. Never seen so much salt turn into pure joy.

Just quickly on this - I see you stopped to pick up the Tribute

It was late game, 0/3 and 0/3. At this point, it is basically never worth stopping to pick up a tribute unless you have literally NOTHING else to do, because the probability of one team actually getting to 3/3 before the game ends is incredibly small. At that point you should have been running with Rehgar to get the boss dead ASAP... and yes I know, "lol Nova PvE damage", but at that point in the game every second would count. Particularly because if your Xul mate hadn't popped Nova out of stealth at the end by sheer blind luck, and she was allowed to ride straight at core, you may have lost the base race

There wasnt much to do. I wasnt even sure that Reghar would come for boss. As stupid teammates as I usually get they never listen to pings. It would be a waste of time if the team wouldnt come so I wanted to be sure they will.

Why you think I recalled after the boss? To defend base against Nova. I had feeling she will come. I noticed Xul unmasked her so I run to cut her path. Was expecting her to continue run straight so I sniped and missed. Xul then went to defend as well.

Got an eight-vote commendation as MVP tonight =D

Had an absolutely mental game as Artanis, some of the best play I've ever done. Flips were basically perfect, I missed less than four in the entire game. Including several long range Q-E's to bag kills on Nova while she was stealthed.

    Felt really, really, really rewarding

That moment when you have had enough of the matchmaker and just want to take a dump on something.
