So I ran the math, and 200 Million is about 0.00006 of total spending, if we generously round that down to 3 trillion.

Funding the arts has genuine benefits, even if uncultured plebeian don't agree. It's Culture, and I'd be willing to bet that money put back into the economy from art galleries and such help pad that number.

There is literally 0 sensible argument to cut Arts funding.

It slow-walked from the original topic through the maze of federal funds/taxation, and here we are.

If BLM is a terrorist organization then maybe Trump crushing the Pro-life movement by the same reasoning would make this worth it.

Not really. Again, most governments have sponsered art things for thousands of years. Its not new, its generaly a small drop in budget bucket, and the good out weighs the bad in terms of promoting culture.

I see no benefits in it. We will have culture regardless if he cuts it or not. You gotta start somewhere. Unless you want to let it just keep going and now its .0000000006. By this logic we should cut absolutely nothing. 1 billion is nothing. 5 billion is nothing.

Its weird you conflate this with shooting anyone who crosses the imaginary line wrong.

Why don't you start somewhere that will actually be more than a rounding error.

As for the last sentence of your post: Lots of people in lots of places and times have died for lots of pointless nonsense that they attached meaning to. I am not obligated to participate in their error.
Let me get this straight, you're pissing on your own country's history, it's founding values and the people that fought for them by calling them pointless nonsense?
No you're keen on making all of your own errors.

With Ben Carson as HUD director I see BLM growing in the future. :/

    According to this report: http://www.creativenz.govt.nz/assets...pdf?1410228251

Arts and culture are a $132b industry in the US.

This may come as a shock to some people, but people are willing to pay to see art works, especially performance arts such as theatre. There are kinda clear economic benefits to funding it.

Everything is a rounding error. Thats the point. You start with stuff that is a no brainer and you move on to the tougher things. This one is a no brainer.

Ben Carson doesn't believe in them and the Trump administration has already made it clear they're in support of law enforcement. It's already posted pretty much.
