Thats not how executive orders work. They can only be used to direct federal agencies and departments. He cannot just use one to dissolve legislative bodies. However that doesnt mean they can be pretty bad. Oil is objectively by all measurements the most toxic, damaging and least efficient source of energy we have available today. Propping up a dying and archaic industry because "money" doesn't mean we halt progression of civilization. I'd argue the opposite, propping up the oil industry is accelerating climate change which in turn WILL halt progress on civilization.

You do know that we could, as a nation, literally TODAY, turn to 100% renewable energy sources, right? Not only that but in doing so we would generate 4x as much energy as we consume.
