State's Rights is why as stated earlier in the thread.
How to tell if somebody learned World Geography in school or from SNL:
"GIBSON: What insight into Russian actions, particularly in the last couple of weeks, does the proximity of the state give you?
PALIN: They're our next door neighbors and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska."
SNL: Can't be Diomede Islands, say her backyard instead.

Well it was somewhat meant as a joke, but also serious that it could maybe, just maybe actually help to get some work to the city. But you are right, agriculture has become a whole other business then it was 30-40 years ago.

I assume the GOP will remind him of States' Rights immediately.
If you lived in a place that had that many shootings wouldn't you want someone to do something about it? Trump deserves a lot of criticism, this is something I don't think is one of them.

Is this a long way for you to say you don't have actual data to support your initial statement?

EDIT: That looked like a slam on all dems being connected to crime, what I mean was when a city is thoroughly under the thumb of criminal organizations the only candidates who can win are under the thumb of said criminals. This is actually a failure of the feds, btw, so "sending them in" is actually appropriate, although I doubt he meant it that way.

If one were to look at the "squalid hellholes" in the US they would see they have been by and large Democrat controlled for nearly a generation.

This is not factually true in much of the US. Not even close.

Except that, in the "good old days" that conservatives like to talk about so much, you could. I brought it up as a point of comparison, because that used to be the case.

Chicago always confuses me. Given the large democrat control over the city for as long as i can remember what barriers exist that they can't change that is preventing them from dealing with the issues at hand?

This is really happening people, this isn't a bad dream this isn't some fantasy novel we read in school, this is our lives. They are destroying America and we are letting them in the name of Democracy.
