New Succubus glyphs in 7.2

Not as a affliction with demon skin. There's not a single WQ I can't tank myself with drain soul spam, siphon life, death coil, healthstone, and unrelenting resolve.

I can do Collaborators or the Conspiracy elite WQ's in suramar by pulling packs myself as affliction and keeping siphon life rolling alongside channeling drain soul.

If I'm feeling extra faceroll, I bring phantom singularity and it's virtually impossible to die unless you pulled and entire hall of elite mobs in suramar.

I'm failing to see where you can't use voidwalker in this scenario

i think blizz should just allow us to "enslave" demons like a hunter, so we can choose what we want, have them each have a differant build, like how hunters have it now, they each fit a family, dreadlords=doomguard, inquisitor eye=imp, inquisitor= doomguard

In the lore we don't tame demons, we summon them. However, the idea is interessting. I would preffer if all demons were alike in power, with unique utility. That way we can pick and choose what we want for whatever we do, questing, PvPing or raiding. If the requirements for summoning these demons would demand certain quests that involved learning about the demon we summon. Then we'd would be forced into the world, hunt down the demons we want in order to learn how to summon them. Also, more sexy Succubusses for my army of demons please. I'd love a reason to use this one in a boss fight.

well yes we dont tame them, but we have enslave demon, so we should be able to enslave it, then learn to summon that demon

But like others, I wish I had a reason to use her. Forcing us in to one pet per spec was not a great idea. Then again, if she did as much damage as my doomguard, I still wouldn't use her, due to the run between targets annoyance. Sigh.

You know, pets running between targets doesn't really take any longer than a Doomguard takes to cast. Plus she has a 20 yard range on her attacks anyway.

You have the cause and effect confused. They didn't make a new Succubus model for Warlocks because they were bored or think it'll encourage pet diversity or someone in the art department has a fetish. They made some new Succubus models for the upcoming Tomb of Sargaras raid, and decided to get out ahead of player requests for once and immediately offered up a glyph to give Warlock players access to them. Which is commendable, even if the Succubus is still a useless pet that never gets used.

The only purpose of that pet is to tank, but there's no content where I need the voidwalker to tank for me where said voidwalker would not die immediately. Open world is the only place I can use a voidwalker much like a succubus, but both are suboptimal pets.

But by any reasonable measure the succubus is the last pet you'd use. Basically you're saying that the pet is rendered so irrelevant you can use one that is essentially useless. And you won;t be doing this in 7.2 because those elites will be back to what they were before we outgeared them by crazy amounts.

I don;t get why they'd spend so much time and effort making such a terrific looking pet by focussing on the succubus, as it has zero use whatever outside of pvp. Indeed, the specialisations are designed that way: each one pushes you to use a specific pet and using the succubus as any warlock spec if a dps loss. For affliction and destruction the only viable choices are the Supremacy demons - doomguard for single target, infernal for aoe/tank or the specific spec pet in the form of the felhunter and imp for damage and the voidwalker and a tank if you don't have Supremacy.

I have long said that I'd love for the succubus to be viable, particularly for affliction (I think she actually fits better with the fantasy, with Lash of Pain: we kill our victim slowly, she makes them enjoy it lol)

Can but hope for rejigs on the other demons. The succubus redesign looks great. But in pve you just won't use it

succubi are rapists, too. they seduce in a way that's much more rape than seduction. forcing the semen out of the penis, then they either transform into the incubus and rape a woman or give it to an incubus to rape a woman and impregnate her, depending on the mythology you go with.

besides, they're simply based on religious demons. they don't have to behave the same exact way.
