He probably wants to create perfect magical pussy for himself.
Kalecgos is one of the few NPC's in WoW that I see as essentially untainted good - he joins Khadgar and Tirion in that particular role. While flawed and capable of making mistakes these characters generally want the best for Azeroth and can see past partisan concerns. They act in the name of what they see as best for all involved, taking a long view of things and willing to do what must be done.

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead

Perhaps so, but I guess we'll have to burn that bridge when we come to it. Sathrovarr does reappear on the Broken Shore as one of the many named Legion demons summoned by Gul'dan - perhaps he's got an "in" concerning Dalaran given his past experience with Kalec at the Sunwell Plateau.

Did you... ever complete that quest chain? The Heart of Zin-Azshari is an AP reward item from the last quest. He clearly doesn't have it.
