It doesn't surprise me with the changes that has happened to the world recently, that being Trump, Brexit and some more "racist" political parties are gaining more voters in other countries.

People are getting tired, and hope for a change. What change is unsure, but something other than "this" that we were getting.

When a country is founded by religious refugees of different origins, sheltered by natives and built on the backs of slaves how do you deny that multi-culti is part of it?

Population may stabilize, but it's economy will be in the toilet for a long time. Strangely enough, Japan may embrace that challenge since much of the country does love its own culture too much to change. (I wish them well in that regard)

It's a rather long explanation but the tldr version of it is that Japanese society has put pressures, habits that have become part of their society. These values are basically killing the family unit and driving their birth rate into the ground, in Japan you are easily a much happier person being single. It's not like their society doesn't realize they need more babies it is just it cannot let go of these horrible stigmas and expectations.

And the economy will soar once those disenfranchised young people have something to do. They have the means for it.
