NFL Game Pass. I can watch any game I want at any time of the year, going back as far as 2010 I think. Best thing since sliced bread.
Also:
Kyle Shanahan officially announced as the HC for the 49'ers. Apparently he will have control of the 53, and John Lynch will control other facets (whatever that may be).
Now it's just the final roster juggling of coordinators, mainly who replaces Shanahan in Atlanta and who gets the D-coord in San Fran.
It's officially off season now though, enjoy everyone.
Just a reminder that I still intend to post something that will probably amuse you guys later in the week, so stick around and don't go hibernate till next season just yet.
All 3 really need a good QB. SF gave Kapernick far too much money and credit based a decent 2nd half mostly. Browns have, like, no one basically. RG3 was a failure for the Browns, as totally expected. Bears held on to a failing Cutler far too long and neither Hoyer or the-other-guy are remarkable enough to fix the numerous issues of the Bears.
The fact Trubisky is the only QB predicted to be worth a damn in the draft isn't saying much. Esp. with Trubisky lacking experience- 1 and a half seasons? What is he a Junior? Idk.
That one will pick one of the DEs on offer is a given. But I think there might be some good quality TEs and Ss this draft that could boost these teams quite a bit. The Bears in particular might be low key good if they get a new Safety and Left Tackle. Whereas I think SF and the Browns have too many missing parts to sit on any of their picks comfortably.
Jets and Jags can get a few sick picks potentially.
FiveThirtyEight has a pretty good breakdown of just how baffling the play calling for Atlanta was in the fourth quarter.
As they say in the article, they had so many chances in that fourth quarter to win the game and they did the opposite thing on just about every single one of them.

RIP whoever gets drafted by Cleveland.
24th?
I forgot what it's like to pick this low, it's been forever.
Carolina, from Superbowl to 8th pick in draft.
Time...line? Time isn't made out of lines. It is made out of circles. That is why clocks are round. ~ Caboose
Sakisian is the new OC at Atlanta.
All of my wats
I can't figure out if out if that's a better or worse hire than Chip Kelly.

oh and @xskarma we were promised something interesting after the Super Bowl, where is it?
Man, lots of coaches are drunks, but Sarkisian is a fall-over-drunk.
GG Atlanta.

that's why Sarkisian moved on after only 1 game. Good luck boys, you're gonna need it to keep him in line. Also, pro guys are not college kids.
Also I know this is more college related than pro, but thought you might get a lugh: http://www.sbnation.com/college-foot...l-championship
I was actually still working on the last part, cause I needed to know how the Superbowl went but I guess I could start with part 1. Give me a bit to get the last formatting done and I'll post it.

Okay, this is what I did to hopefully amuse you guys:
I have made a habit of it the past few years to re-read the NFL thread early pages, cause it's both really interesting and really hilarious to see what we all said and thought early in the season, especially so in hindsight when the season is over.
But since I understand that reading back those old pages is not something everyone has time for, or even interest in, but I still wanted to share with you all just how fantastic it is, I decided to keep notes while reading and am going to present you all with the results.
There's basically going to be 5 parts:
1) Calling their shots
2) Season in Review
3) Famous last words
4) Wait what?
5) The Playoffs
I'll leave up to you to figure out what those entries will hold (it's not an exact science, I mixed and matched a bit if it made sense in context) for now to keep some mystery, but I think you will figure it out soon enough once you start reading the part.
Since I was the one doing all the work these are obviously my choices and things that I felt stood out, but I can certainly encourage everyone to use the double arrow button on the post quote to go to the actual post in question and read the context for more fun stuff or to bring up their own finds from the thread related to the main topic of the segment.
ALL THIS CONTENT IS UP UNTILL THE DAY THE FIRST PLAYOFF GAME WAS PLAYED THE REST IS ALL IN THE PART "The Playoffs" (which I'm still finishing)
SEASON START indicates that everything after that is after the season had officially started and games had been played.
I'll start with the first segment I dubbed:
Calling their shots:
Grube in March about the Broncos confused QB situation Pendulous Vetali xskarma in March THE Bigzoman Northern Goblin on the Raiders Northern Goblin with the easy lay up Pendulous starting the bandwagon Grube in May, before Stafford's 4th quarter heroics Northern Goblin who probably wishes this hadn't come true xskarma on Rob & Rex Ryan THE Bigzoman THE Bigzoman, going just 1 bridge too far Grube Pendulous, Captain of the bandwagon, in July Grube with the understatement of the year THE Bigzoman, on Jeff Fisher draynay also on Jeff Fisher Gestopft, going 5 for 8 with more hits than misses Netherfall after Romo got hurt Faltemer just before the season
SEASON START
xskarma jinxing his own team right before they are shut out at home xskarma after that blow out loss Grube in early October xskarma ifrah, early November Crackleslap, on the Cowboys FobManX Gestopft, calling out a Patriots-Falcons Superbowl thevoicefromwithin, who could have made money in Vegas, with only 1 miss on 8 games
"At best 12-4"
If only I knew... if only..
GJ cursing myself with the Texans call.
