What I hope to see next season is the raiders back in playoffs with Derek Carr. They got robbed so fkn hard with that injury.
I did and would officially petition to trade two unhonorable mentions for an infraction each. Or so...
But seriously, thanks alot @xskarma. Great stuff.
I had already told you guys I was working on something a few weeks ago, way before the Superbowl. Had all these segments laid out and mostly filled in.
Can you imagine, after the first half of that Superbowl, if that had continued and the Falcons had won, that I'd had to post this gem:
xskarma should probably not trust his gut again
Yeah, that would have been fun. I'm sure the Falcons fans would have forgiven me and not given me any flack for it.
Ouch indeed.

(should probably add that it's monumentally, hilariously stupid sounding regardless, with the Falcons having an all-time offense and a Superbowl berth this season)
@xskarma a little CONTEXT would be nice! Made me go back and read the post! (was referring to Peyton not going into HoF first year he's eligible).
I would amend my words on the Falcons to "I don't think the Falcons will win the super bowl this year." if I had a time machine. LOL
I also thought the Cowboys were really, really going to do it this year. So much so, I didn't think the Pats stood a chance against them dem 'boys realistically. Also pretty wrong about my "Lions are like a hobo under the bridge/" comment way early in the season.
I get emotionally invested sometimes.
He's crazy if he does. He has, what, 5 concussions? With the last one keeping him out the entire season.
Made a pretty salty post on Instagram with a bunch of hashtags including #Iwasgettingbetter and #nomorefreezingweather http://m.imgur.com/a/dMeES

HEROES NEVER DIE
If it were easy to walk away they'd all do it.
Maybe the Bears will sign him with disability going away in five years.
Dunno if this was discussed earlier, but apparently Shanny does not plan to hire an OC and run the offense by himself. Thoughts on this?
Ohio State Buckeye
Regarding game day, I'm fine with this.
I have absolutely no clue what things specifically 'headcoach-y' need to be done vs things being relegated to an OC when it comes to season preparation and weekly training. But if he really needs or wants additional input, his 'call daddy' wildcard should be one of the best options available.
This is the selection from the playoffs, up untill the Superbowl (which had so many memorable things that I separated it in a final segment). These are still reasonably fresh, but still had a ton of great quotes.

Yea, how bout that draft? Can't wait to hear about which prospects are the best cooks, and what types of devices they're using to increase their hand size.
Whelp, at least I was right about the Packers offense @xskarma
I think he's probably a fool to try it. Most HC that take on the coordinator duties as well spread themselves too thin. I wish him well, but I think he;s trying to be a one man show and that's never going to work. Belichick has basically all the responsibilities too, yet even he makes sure he has reliable people to do the coordinator work, and to help him with the personnel department.
For now my expectations for Kyle Shanahan are more towards what happened to Josh McDaniels then what happened to idk Belichick or Andy Reid or whoever else had this much power when he got the HC job.
Yeah, that's why I love these segments. We say so many things that when you look at them later you go "wow, that was really valid when I said it, but that turned out way different during the course of the season" (in this case even within 2 weeks).
No one saw coming what happened in the Superbowl.
Eli Apple, who turned out to be a pretty decent prospect after all for the Giants. So silly.
I'll be honest though, I read my first prospect ranking yesterday to get a feel for what's out there and in less than a month I'll be glued to my screen watching the Combine again.
I'd say it's: Playoffs > Season > Draft > Pre Season Games > Combine > Free Agency in order of importance for me on the NFL calendar. It's silly season in NFL terms, but it's still the main avenue through which new players enter the league, and that's the same players we cheer for and boo on Sundays 5-6 months later.
I hate the silly part and over hyped media attention for it, but it's so crucial that I still have to love it.
