It cant be worse than any jar jar episode.

Roughly 10 episodes (5 as a background character) out of the 100 or so.

But, point taken. I just like to think those episodes don't exist, because I chose not to watch most of them.

Compare that to Rebels, where I can remember 7 episodes out of 40-ish, and barely vague memories at that, only because they have The Clone Wars characters in them.

yeah to me filler episodes are episodes that dont further the story in any way. like dragonball z episodes where instead of fighting goten and trunks go and get toilet water.

although i have to admit given the short amount of time rebels has to cover they have been forced to stretch it out a bit.

however were soon reaching the end of rebels. disneys been hiring for the new show and i expect it will be announced somewhere around comicon ish.

personally i think they should do an old republic type era show where they can do whatever the fuck they want and progress the story at whatever speed they want.

rebels came about during the reformation and planning stages of the new star wars canon when disney was just getting their feet wet and trying to figure everything out so rebels had less freedom and was basically the inbetween show.

now disney is in a secure place with star wars and have things more planned out. whatever comes after rebels will be given clear guidelines and theyre own space to grow without constantly having to worry about stepping out of line or getting in disneys way

I just couldn't get into this episode.

Like, the part where Sabine started to get emotional and all, I was trying my best to understand what she was actually talking about.
Her voice actor is not that convincing, so that might've been it.

Anyway, now it's a 4 week wait until the next episode.

She was saying that when she was working for the Empire, she helped create weapons that were used against other Mandalorians. She thought it was wrong, so she spoke against the Empire. Instead of supporting her, her family rebuked her and she had to leave, which was felt as treason by them. She then said that for this reason nobody would want to follow her and that she cannot be the leader the rebels want her to become.

Whenever she was explaining the entire ordeal I was mostly distracted by both my inability to realise whether she was sad or mad (couldn't tell cuz voice actress) and the fact she was suddenly besting a Jedi Knight.
I will admit that it's a relatively refreshing backstory regarding SW characters, but it hasn't done much for her so far.

Well, it's a good actress then, because I felt she was both sad and mad. The two are not mutually exclusive. As for besting Kanan, I would say that Kanan was not really fighting her anymore. He was more interested in hearing what she had to say, and was just parring her strikes. As for what this developpement will do to her, we'll see. I consider this episode as the first part of a two-parter. It just set the stage. Next time, she will confront her family, and that's when her character will truly shine. It's about time really, because I felt like she has been underused in the first two seasons.

It felt as if she was reading the lines more than expressing them, like a kindergarten teacher reading a children's book out loud in front of 5 year olds: Not to be taken serious with very little contrast, so she doesn't frighten them.

The Jedi won the war with Mandalor? Could that be talking about the Mandalorian Wars?

Since we know the Galactic Republic had been had peace since its formation as mentioned in Episode 2 and there wasn't any war between the Jedi and Mandalor during the Clone Wars then that means this war must have taken place before the formation of the Galactic Republic.

In Legends the Galactic Republic was formed after the last war between Jedi and Sith 1000 years before hand and it replaced the Old Republic. During the Old Republic the Jedi and the Republic fought a long and bloody war against the Mandalorians.

Maybe this means that Knights of the Old Republic is becoming Canon now? I mean they have been cherrypicking out of KoTOR for a long time and they did recently create a 6 inch Darth Revan figure

They don't have to make a movie about the story line of the game, but a movie about the Mandalorian Wars would be quite incredible.

It is my hope that Kanan and Ezra don't consider themselves Jedi. Form a different faction from the typical two organizations.

It feels like morality will be a big breaking point for them. Ezra willing to do more dark things for the cause because of victory.

War breeds the best of both worlds. People who are morally upstanding and those who will do anything to win. It will end up in a Revan/Malek situation.

Still the optimistic one, I see? Yes, there will be an episode with Chopper and AP-5 called "Double Agent Droid." Chopper and AP-5 team up to infiltrate an imperial station from which they are supposed to steal necessary codes, but an imperial specialist applies the droid to the crew to create chaos. According to Wikipedia. My guess is that the specialist is Yularen. Or maybe we'll see him in next episode "Through Imperial Eyes." But I'm really waiting for Maul's confrontation with Obi-Wan and the showdown with Thrawn in the last episode. We still have five episodes to see.

As for the last episode, I like where Sabine's story is going. I don't mind that they put more light on her this season, because she was a rather neglected character. I like what they are doing with the Mandalorians. Especially the little touches, like art. In Clone Wars, we saw a lot of cubism, like Picasso's Guernica.





In Ursa's throne room, her portrait reminded me more of Gustav Klimt.

How delightful, the 5 final episodes of a season and their determination to shove droid humor up my ass hasn't faltered in the slightest.

As for my optimism, think of my stance as a neutral one. There will be room for 'optimism' if my standard expectations of mediocrity and 'much tease, 0 result' are proven to be a misconception.

If I didn't believe in this show I would've stopped watching during season 1. Fortunately, episodes such as 'The Honorable Ones', 'Shroud of Darkness' and 'Relics of the Old Republic' have upheld my faith.
