I mean assuming you're an adult, just substitute it for other stuff, you can make excellent pasta sauces using bell peppers instead of tomatoes, same for salads.

can someone tell me why they took out malt vinegar from HP Sauce and replaced with white vinegar. I'm kind of on a protest ban with that brown sauce
I never really thought about it, but I have a very diverse diet. Tomatoes don't really make up much of it. Even when I go for a pasta dish, the sauce isn't usually tomato-based. I do love tomatoes though, I'll eat a handful of those cherry tomatoes for a snack. So good.
When may plants start producing, im eating tomatoes every day from July to October.
Oh, and I can't forget a nice tomato and mozzarella salad. Also very good.
I've never seen a good pizza made with anything but roma or plum tomatoes. They can be canned whole and skinless or fresh. Pelati, in the post you're quoting just means peeled, if my italian is up to date. The best pizza sauce I've ever had was just fresh roma tomatoes crushed with some garlic, and salt. Not cooked before cooking the pizza. /shrug.
Back OT: I haven't had a tomato other than on pizza or jarred salsa for probably a month or two. They're out of season here. I can get some from greenhouse farmers that do the trick, but not for personal use.
Tomato based? Very rarely. I occasionally eat tomato soup. I take a can of tomato soup, mix with milk, and eat with crackers. Not that often though. Stuff that contains tomato? Pretty often. Spaghetti. Pizza.
My parents have an apartment on the Gulf of Genoa and move there every other month for a few days. Whenever they get back we have two weeks worth of pesto but for the rest of the year tomato sauce reigns supreme over pasta. And every day is pasta day in Italy
Yuck!
The simplest pizza is just crushed tomatoes. A little olive oil on the crust, ladle some crushed tomatoes, top with a few basil leaves and fresh mozzarella. Cooking the sauce isn't mandatory.
But, that goes into arguments about pizza. Nobody can win that argument.
And OT again... I'm trying to think of meals in which tomato is more than a component or condiment. Tomato soup (which comes in variations, such as gazpacho, etc.), ...i'm drawing a blank.
I am literally eating a tomato-based meal right now. Just made myself some spaghetti. Yesterday i had pizza. Actually i probably eat tomato in pretty much every meal. Is good.
Tomatoes are indeed everywhere. I hate them though, so trying to stay as far away as possible. Doesnt work everytime.
