To be clear their are substantive criticisms one can make of the media. It is far to beholden to corporate and monetd interests. The range of permissible debate is extremely narrow. They are far too entirely concerned with access. They are far too concerned with fairness and non bias instead of truth and accuracy.

Trump is not making these criticisms as far as im aware. The media is surprisingly doing a good job covering him.

Trump can't even cross check his information and comes out and says he had the biggest electoral vote landslide since regan/Nixon (I don't remember) then gets corrected by being told Obama beat him, changes to biggest republican lanndslide, gets corrected that H w Bush beat him there. Also, you are wrong about the CNN lawsuit. All the court has ruled is that the hospital's lawyers can go ahead with their defamation claim. No ruling as to whether or not CNN is guilty of said crime has yet been made.

My own small snippet involves my own sister years back. They were reporting on what essentially should have been a human interest piece on a sorority. There was no reason to lie. They did anyway, taking bits of Truth and weaving it into an entirely new fairytale about girls being kicked out for the way they looked that absolutely did not happen. Made it's way thru the major papers, magazines, and talk shows in that form.

On your first point of contention, Takei's claim is unfounded. "Right-wing trolls" is a very subjective term with no basis or examples. I have seen some of the tweets that people were blocked by him for, and trolling they were not.

On your second point, I shall leave this quote:

"Ruled" was an improper word on my part, but it is plainly obvious where the court stands.
