Hypothetical - If Nazi Germany rose again, would American Neo-Nazis side with them or would they still love Russia like they seem to now?

Member when being a leftie meant you were a pinko-commie that loved Russia? I member.

Ah, it's always fun to see when modern and past get blended together into a fine propaganda smoothie.

These 200,000 soldiers are actually going to control war titans. One titan per soldier. These budget surpluses of the past years are going to become very handy.

A couple of years ago the Russian Communist Party??? (it was not a official government delegation) did give the German Ambassador? a copy of the Red Banner from the Reichstag "becuse it is important to remember the history" the Ambassador ask them to come back later. Later he did acepte the Red Banner, and did give the Russians a copy of the Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact "becuse it is important to remember the history"

I can't find anything like that. Are you making it up?

So there isn't one set rule.
Ah thanks for the info, to be true i also think it's a urban legend in chile, but you see way more police checks evry end of the month

And afterwards Putin can set up his home in it.

On second thoughts, it probably isn't luxurious and expensive enough for his tastes.

Of course it's a neat idea. But not good enough. They should actually raid the real thing, right Cybran? :P

We got bored with that a long time ago. Heck, we didn't even knock the whole wall down. We left some bits and pieces standing, because we couldn't be arsed to finish the job. Also, it's good for tourism and showing kids that the wall wasn't "fake news". Although, if Trump ever visits here, he'll probably pretend we put those bits up just to play the victim card or some other bullshit. :P

In Europe, reenactments usually involved real bullets and real weapons. We'd still yell the old stuff but with new people. We've done that for 2000 years. We got bored of it. :P

@Skroe See this? Germany always gets the blame for something. This is the final proof. The US blames us for not paying those 2% and now that we try to, Russia is blaming us for investing into the military. Fuck you, world. Go pick on someone else... :P

Do Russians obsesses over WW2 the same way Americans do?

I'd think with such a long history they'd go for other stuff. I get why American's unflinchingly toot their own horn over it.

On May 1st, watch their parade. Nobody else in the world revels in beating Germany as the Soviets... erm, Russians do. It's 70 years later, and they actually, literally justify their military to keep Germany down. Russians probably think we'd come back if they didn't have those parades. :P

"Oh, Russia not having a parade? Guess they dissolved the military then, anyone up for a waltz on Red Square with some tanks? Let's go Fritz!"

Well, I mean Germany does seem to have a habit of wanting lebensraum in the East.

Do modern Russians look back fondly on the Enlightenment period with Peter and Catherine? That was largely the height of pre-Soviet power for the country, but on the other hand those leaders were known for being very cozy with the west so native Russians might have a different view.

Their connections with the Byzantine Empire, Slavic history in general, their eventual absorbing of the Golden Horde, ect.

I just know Americans harp on WW2 like its the greatest thing on Earth. Considering for Russians the one who defeated Hitler was arguably worse than Hitler in terms of kill count.

Really? Really? Countries peacefully and voluntarily joining military alliances and supernational organizations while retaining their sovereignty is the same as annexing parts of other countries by force?

Common' let's not draw an equivalence where is none.

    You are not this stupid.

Eastern Europe is not "Russian property". Nations there have the right to decide what is in their best interest, who they want to ally with and what organizations they want to join.
