Honorable mention for Helcular's VO during the Legion invasions.

Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. He sounds like he belongs in the venture brothers. If anything were to Happen to Sylvanas, I would want Batshit Hecular in charge.

    Illidan's voice actor here:

such a brilliant voice. I actually like more when he speaks quietly, holding his anger, other than roars.

Elegon (Frank Welker). He sounds like Optimus Prime on DMT.

I really love Cam Clarke, who I believe voices Kael'thas, the normal male blood elf PC's, Medivh, Shaffar and Malygos. The guy has easily my favorite voice in video game voice acting as a whole.

Jim Cummings AKA Runas, Cho and Havi (among others I think, but not sure) also immediately comes to mind, but that's nothing new, everyone loves him. He really does a good job and I'm glad he keeps coming back. He's so good that even though I tend to pay attention to this stuff somehow I didn't recognize him as Runas.

Heh, I remember when I first saw this cinematic in-game. When Putress' laughter cut across the assembled I actually shuddered and thought "aw, damn." It was certainly an impressive turn of events.

I wish it wasn't a betrayal on his part, but one of Sylvanas' lieutenants to go with Nathanos and Belmont. Too cool to kill off.

For anyone slagging off Metzen, I'm pretty sure I heard in an interview that he use to do the voices because they couldn't afford to pay for really experienced voice actors. Obviously after wow it changed and he's voiced for continuity and the odd character here and there. He puts himself down a lot, but his voice acting is actually very good and Thrall wouldn't be Thrall if it wasn't for Metzen.

I actually think Metzen's best VO work is a tie between Algalon and a one-off character in the IoT opening scenario, Arcanital Mara'kah and his allies. Metzen actually pulls off the usually comedic troll accent with subdued menace - very suited to the Zandalari in particular.

From reading your post I'm under the assumption that you're saying that Metzen did Algalon? I'm imagining his speech within Ulduar and I'm sure it's Kyle Hebert. Could be wrong though, but other than that I have to agree Metzen despite probably having virtually no background in voice acting does do a brilliant job.

You appear to be correct, Algalon is Kyle Herbert - I'd always thought it was Metzen. Metzen apparently did Dranosh Saurfang and Bronjahm in WotLK, in addition to Varian Wrynn and Thrall which he does in every expansion.

Ahhh Dranosh! Remember the fad it was back then...
I am for some reason, thinking Bronjahm is the boss in Forge of Souls... The one similar to James Brown but I do believe I am very wrong.
And to be honest with Varian dying, Thrall falling from grace with the feeling he's going to disappear was most likely because Metzen left Blizzard. Such a shame really. I really hope that he comes back but time will tell. That Titan project really killed him on the inside.
