Sanders went on to attack Trump for not draining the swamp. The Senator from Vermont hit Trump for breaking his campaign promise of reinstating the Glass-Steagall Act.
Sen. Sanders said that some of what Trump said looks good on the surface. Sanders exposed Trump’s infrastructure plan as bogus and said that the had a hard time not laughing out loud when Trump spoke about protecting clean air and water.
Sanders said that Trump is going to pay for his Pentagon spending spree by slashing funding for programs for the elderly, sick, and the poor. Sanders hit Trump for wanting to give the wealthy a $3 trillion tax cut.
On MMO-C we learn that Anti-Fascism is locking arms with corporations, the State Department and agreeing with the CIA, But opposing the CIA and corporate America, and thinking Jews have a right to buy land and can expect tenants to pay rent THAT is ultra-Fash Nazism. Bellingcat is an MI6/CIA cut out. Clyburn Truther.

He was "thoughtful," at the expense of the country he was charged with being president of.

One can speak of "Earth First," or whatever but at the end of the day I expect the Prime Minister of the UK to care for the UK first, others second. I expect the president of the United States to care for the United States first, others second.

The bar is set so low for him that he gets credit for basic functions. On the same day that he suggested anti-semitic behavior is really just about people not liking him, and attempting to absolve himself in the Yemen raid by putting a clear line between him and the military("they lost him"<wink wink>), we're supposed to praise him for not doing it in his speech.
Yay.
Sadly, yes. Because he was able to stay on-message and read an actual speech rather than spouting out his word diarrhea, he gets gold stars and pats on the back. Basically the media is giving him his participation trophy.
The real irony? The GOP and even Trump himself giving Obama no end of shit for using teleprompters, but yet again, the double standard is glaring right at us.

almost every statement in his speech was a lie or a distortion
but i'm glad some folks thought it sounded great
According to a newly released poll, most did. 69% felt more optimistic about America's future after listening to his speech.
http://www.cbsnews.com/news/cbs-news...-presidential/ the 69% poll was from a CNN one, this one has even more favorable views.

Good point. But most people will trust ones which they agree with. lol! I did not think Trump would win the election. The polls said he would not. But they were wrong. I think these polls concerning his speech to Congress are close however. The Presidential elections were off in some cases by as much as 8%. Lets say this poll about his speech is off by 10%. It would still give him a high rating for it.
